He's a good player and one that will thrive with the space he will be given in La Liga.

Translation: I've never heard of this guy, but would like to take this opportunity to say La Liga defenders stink.

Anyone who seriously follows football is aware of the kid and what he can do with the ball. It's no surprise to see someone like villareal8 spill their load when they first realise his ability. I have seen him play and he is your typical attacking player that will thrive in La Liga but would take time to adapt elsewhere. Thus the comment. Time will tell how he does. Besides, you cannot deny that La Liga is better suited to attacking players. Even you do not display that level of stupidity.

Good for Villareal, but why did Rafa decide to sell Peter Crouch? :p

Wrong!! I knew who this kid was, but I wasent aware of is superb tecnique! Thanks to you tube, I finally got to watch him! La Liga will suit his style, thats why his agent turn down bids, from Liverpool and Newcastle! I think he will do great in La Liga, along side will Riquelme helping the attack go much stronger!

well im chilean and im afraid to get too excited. he will have to battle it out with cani and pires. He is the best player in the South American cup right now and the best in the Chilean league. He could have an advantage that his coach is Chilean as well (Pellegrini). I dont want to say he will be the best but he will be big. Hes one of the top scorers in Chilean League and Copa Sudamericana and hes a midfield. and btw watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIwQn96yoEs

Very happy about this. Some thought it wasn't going to happen. He was originally approached by Llaneza at Villarreal after FIFA had awarded them a 2 week extension on signings, due to Pires and Gonzalo both gaining season ending injuries the week before the window shut. Llaneza, for some reason, stated they were no longer interested in signing another player. I am not certain what happened but Llaneza was able to contarct this kid to five years. It may be due to his strong ties at Colo COlo and not wanting to leave them prior to their season finish, that postponed the signing
He is Argentine born but Chilean raised from a very young age.
Next best player? I don't know, I have heard that phrase so many times it has lost it's meaning. He is however a very strong player that will definitely walk right into the starting lineup come January, or at least I hope Pellegrini sees it that way too.;)
If you have seen Villarreals performances lately they could use a kid like this.

Pires is out for the rest of the season, Cani is good but may fall back into a bench warmer. As one of their Forwards does a better job at Right Wing then Cani sometimes does. If Matias walks in and impresses I see him getting plenty of time.
