Ok.....

Here is my dilemma, I am of course a Rapids fan who is unaffiliated in the realm of supporter groups so I want to join one but what is the difference between the two supporter groups we have right now. So can I please get a “definition” of each group and what makes them different? Thanks and hope to be sitting with y’all next year.

I remember seeing something during Game 2 against FCD on Altitude that the team was going to start an offical supporters group. Any news on that?

It has been in the works over the last few months and is being finalized. There are quite a few details but they aren't completely finalized and can't/won't be made "official" until the FO makes a statement.

Oh ok, it sort of sounded like it was going to be a new group

I can't really say much about because its still supposed to be hush hush until the FO is ready with the details. You'll know about it soon.

Mike,

Check out the two websites of current official supporters, and that should give you a very good feel of attitude, stance, etc.

RapidsClassVI.com (http://RapidsClassVI.com)
Check out "About the Club" and "Testimonials" for a good sense of things.

and

CentennialFirm.com (http://CentennialFirm.com)

Check out the Membership page and Heroes & Wankers for a sense of things.

* Note that Centennial Firm is being co-opted by the Rapids management organization in some sort of partnership. As Quinn said, it is currently unknown, so you may have to wait to see how the Club really turns out.

Cheers,

BilFish

"Co-opted" would imply that we are being absorbed by the Rapids, and this is not what is happening. Also, it's not that the details are unknown but rather that they are unpublic. That wait-and-see bit is really Bill's way of saying "Choose Class VI" ;)

It's really easy actually - between the C-Firm and CVI - there's a supporters group for you!

If you like to stand during the game, you love the drums, and you love to sing songs - the C-Firm is the place for you.

If you're looking for a supporters section that doesn't have drums - and doesn't stand all game - CVI is the place for you.

I'm not sure of the C-Firm numbers - Quinn, Tory, or Brown can help you there - but CVI is up to 80 people.

The C-Firm will be on the touch line area (close to the goal) - CVI will be near midfield.

Again - I must stress - I simply can't understand why anyone that is a serious fans of the team - would want to sit anywhere else in the Stadium. Stand and be heard with the C-Firm - or sit among other serious fans with CVI.

For C-Firm - email: Chilistrider@centennialfirm.com
For CVII - email: mark@RapidsClassVI.com

Sorry, co-opt is often a loaded word, should have used something more neutral as I simply meant that the Rapids organization appears to be getting involved.

Regarding your second statement, perhaps I'm not smart enough, not being from a big-time college, but I have difficulty understanding how "you may have to wait and see" is inconsistent with the idea that information is "unpublic."

Please explain . Should people make decisions now based on this unpublic information?

Cheers,

Maybe the unpublic information needs to be leaked and thus made public to BS.

...another difference is price:

The Class VI'ers are near the midfield (with the comfy seats), so they pay more for the privlege.

The C-Firmers are on the endline/corner so the seats are cheaper (and are also bleachers... another reason to stand if you ask me!).

Hope that helps too!

G'Day...Ron :D

Full of scousers! My Rapids will play in an Aston Villa kit near the Arsenal with a scousers support group? What is a (Man)United fan to do? I need some sleep, this is killing me.

If you insist on continuing to say that, I'm going to have to cut off your free beer supply this weekend. Again.
