If this telecast didn't have some of the worst production values ever, call me a monkey's uncle.
There were numerous instances in the first half that the replay was run late so that the key portion of the play was missed. Bad direction. It wasn't until the second half that they finally got it straight. What a terrible telecast from the technical side. Very frustrating as a viewer.

i agree they didn't even get the replays right at all until well into the second half. The thing with FSC is that they aren't used to producing their own broadcasts. In the past they have simply taken a local broadcast and inserted their commentary over it. Starting this season they started producing their own broadcasts, and it sure seems like they are cheaping out on them

I'm usually one to defend FSC, GolTV, etc. for what they do on the budget they have, but I have to agree that the first half of this game was one of the worst productions I've ever seen on FSC.

More than likely FSC was doing one of two things:
either doing a side-by-side show with one camera, and their own technical director...
or they were taking a feed and having the TD trigger the DVE moves and replays via phone line. That would account for the delay.
This scenario is becoming more common.
Instead of having two trucks and two crews covering the game, there's one crew and as the TD runs the replay via the Fast Forward controller for his/ger show, it also sends a signal via phone to FSC's ops which triggers a DVE move w/replay for their air.
If you have zero budget, like FSC, this is the way you do things.
