Spurred by the talk about the Holland - West Germany World Cup classic of Italia 90 in the Racism Thread, I will be circulating that game and several other classics on DVD. I will send the games to Arthur in England who will make copies for himself and then the games will get back to Germany to Borussia (the poster). If people are interested in obtaining these games, you can state that in this thread. You would then get added to the mailing chain. You do need to have a DVD burner and you must be located in Germany (or England).
These are the featured games:
- Scotland vs. West Germany (1969 World Cup Qualifier)
- Everton FC vs. Borussia Mönchengladbach (1970 European Cup, first game with penalty shoot-outs!)
- Borussia Mönchengladbach vs. Glasgow Rangers (1973 Cup Winners Cup, first leg 45 minutes, second leg complete)
- Bayern vs. Magdeburg (1974 European Cup)
- Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Bayern (1975 Bundesliga, unreal)
- West Germany vs. France (1986 World Cup semi)
- Holland vs. West Germany (1989 World Cup Qualifier)
- West Germany vs. Yugoslavia (1990 World Cup)
- West Germany vs. Holland (1990 World Cup)
- West Germany vs. England (1990 World Cup)

Thanks Gregoriak, I've just received them. Borussia, you wanted them as well, right? Anybody else?
I've already watched the Holland and England game from 1990. Good memories. I didn't remember Rijkaard spat on Rudi twice though!
Oh, and the BBC commentary during the semifinal is very biased.
Count me in as well.
Does Borussia have a DVD burner? If yes we could do a circle like we did with the other Dvds in the past.
Thanks again Gregoriak! :D

Sweet.
Borussia does not have a DVD burner thus he will be the last recipient. I would suggest Arthur sends the games over to Fraeulein96 and then Fraeulein96 sends them to BTLEO. After BTLEO copied the DVDs she can send the originals over to Borussia.

Yesterday I watched the first 50 minutes of the Everton vs. Gladbach game from 1970. What a game! High pace, drama, constant action! You are gonna love watching that game. Puts all those guys claiming that football in the 1970s was a joke compared to today to shame.

That's fine by me of course. F96, could you PM me your address again? I can't find the one from last time.

Unfortunately I don't have a DVD burner. :(
PS: Of course I'm ready to pay the postage to the person that sends me the DVDs.

Don't worry Borussia, should be ok if you are at the end of the list.
I have copied about half of the games now. Unfortunately there's a problem with the Germany - England semifinal from 1990, the DVD had a small scratch and I can't copy it (but it plays ok). Guess I'll watch it again a couple of times and then send it on. Pity.

Would anyone by any chance have any of the Euro '96 matches?
btw, these matches sound fantastic.... any chance I can get a copy? (nevermind I'm not in Germany) I can burn them for anyone who'd like a copy, though.

There's a collector in Canada who's also registered here at BigSoccer. His name here is Dan Soccer if I remember correctly. He has quite a collection of games from all eras.

Difficult. The costs to shipping stuff overseas and all that.

I should finish the copying by Sunday eve and send the DVDs off to F96 on Monday. Hope I'll have some time to watch some games as well!
