Your 5:2 best/worse player choices

ManU has had terrific players in its long history: Best, Bobby Charlton, Cantona to name just some.
Everyone has different likes and dislikes as well as reasons for picking a favorite player.
In this thread maybe you could list your top five favorites, that you've seen playing , either in person or on TV. To add controversity, list also two of your least liked players.

Then there's the players that I don't dislike but always found it a little difficult to like but many have redeeming features:

Mal Donaghy - Never really rated him ability-wise but I suppose he tried.

Ralph Milne - Ditto but did score quite a few and his alleged off-the-field "activities" are infamous, almost to point that he's a cult figure. The type of guy that was so bad I actually look back on with a little affection.

Mark Bosnich - Not too bad but I just never took a shine to him. He's a figure of fun to me now.

David May - Not the best player in the world, especially when played out of position at RB which wasn't really his fault and redeems himself because of the "David May Superstar" malarkey and getting himself on top of the pile during all the celebrations in '99. Just being part of that squad makes him difficult to dislike too.

Henning Berg - Always seemed a little "airy fairy" to me but again, part of the '99 squad and difficult to hate on.

Kleberson - Poo on the whole but I feel he had a little more to offer than he was given the chance to show. Played a couple of blinders when asked to play just off the front-man in partnership with Scholes in a 4-3-2-1 formation, against Everton and Blackburn I believe.

Djemba - Poo but made me laugh with his dancing

Shit. I wanted to put Robbo/Yorke/Rooney/C.Ronaldo/Cantona in favorites, but I'm limited to five. I chose the guys whose personalities on the pitch were more agreeable to me. I'd put a slash on Stam and add Vidic too, since he reminds me so much of Stam. I'd also like to place the current O'Shea in dislikes. I guess I could. Andy Cole frustrated me more than I disliked him. Well, I guess him frustrating me would be a reason I dislike him. Oh vell.:confused:

General question: do we have a player more completely loathed than K-Rich? He's at the top of my hate list as well. Beckham has been ever since the year before he was sold. I've come to largely forgive him though, and direct that hatred towards his anatomically incorrect stick figure of a bitch known as Posh.

Very hard to pick up players who i actually dislike. I guess that says something seeing as such a young player is the only one on my list. Mikael and O'shea frustrate me, but they generally come off as nice fellows and at least try hard.

I'm gonna go ahead and say no. K-Rich has to be the most annoying piece of crap at the moment. The fact that he is still getting shots in the first team is amazing to me, and I honestly can't wait to bring Lee Marting back from loan and sit Richardson's ass down for good. He is not MUQ, and really should not be in our first team. The guy doesn't have a first touch...yet he has a Bentley. Screw him. I hope Lee Martin makes left wing/left midfield his and we sell that **** in the summer.

In terms of Beckham, I can't honestly ever say I disliked him. I always though he got a bad deal from SAF becuase of his high-profile marriage and his off-the-pitch activities. It's easy to assume that Beckham wasn't completely focused on football, but I truly believe that he was 100 percent dedicated to United for the entire time he was here, from the first day to the last.

I don't know if there are set guidelines to testimonial matches, but I'd think he deserved one. He has just as much glory as his counterparts in Scholes and Giggs, barring the 2004 FA Cup and the 2006 Carling Cup, and he put in the work as a Red Devil.

i never really saw players like Cantona, schmeichel, cole, yorke, steve bruce (though i saw him later and reallly like him i was a year old kid in 1991...his 4th year here :p) etc so i wont really mention them here despite the fact that after seeing them recently through Dvd's and through various videos on the internet, I love them!

I actually like darren fletcher now...it started early this season..probably in pre-season...a friend of mine, an arsenal fan, was making fun of fletcher, when i went ahead and said, "theres only one darren fletcher, he's going to do really well this season"

i actually hated him when i said it..thank God he's played well this season :D
