I think Luque will get chance vs Palermo game..

Good luck boys!

I think, its gonna be diffucult game at Italy..
inform Palermo will be hard to defeat..

But, I feel/hope like we are gonna get 3 point from this match.

my prediction :
Palermo:2 - Newcastle United:3

(Emre/Martins back to the business at Italy).

Martins didn't make the trip. Neither did Ameobi, Parker, Duff, Carr, and Babayaro. Rossi is ineligible.

Given all the circumstances I say 3-1 to them. Hopefully they prove me wrong.

I hope Luque makes a favorable impression. We need him to start earning his money.

Only positive going for us is that the Palermo manager has said he is going with his 2nd string squad mostly. I guess being that they and Newcastle got 3 points from the 1st, the need to throw the best out there isn't as urgent.

2-1 Palermo with Luque getting Luq-ie

Didn't see that. I feel slightly better now.

I'm more worried about the game against Sheff United on Saturday than this one, and the rest of the boys should be too. A draw would be a fantastic result, but I'm not overly concerned with the scoreline so long as we play reasonably well and get through it without any more injuries.

note: this is the same tactic Guidolin used when we smashed West Ham.

GET READY FOR A PINKOUT!

GET READY FOR A PINKOUT!

I really don't know how this "pink" thing got started in Italy. Any soccer history buffs know?

I don't really follow Serie A that much, but when they got promoted a couple of years ago, I'd watch their matches. I guess I just thought it was pretty bold to where pink, in a very masculine sport. I know Juventus had a pink away kit a few years ago, it may have been the same year Palermo was promoted.

In 1907, the club changed its name to Palermo FBC, and the team colors were changed to pink and black. The colours' choice were suggested by count Giuseppe Airoldi, as "colours of the sad and the sweet" which he believed to be a good fit for a team characterized by "results as up and down as a Swiss clock".[3] - wikipedia

As long as Sibierski plays, our UEFA Cup dreams will stay alive.

Well, at least I'm being positive.

BTW, this game is on in the USA. Setanta Sports. 5pm Eastern on delay.

Thx,

Jay!

According to the broadcast I'm watching Emre will be up front with Luque. Butt is in the middle, Milner on the wing.

Century's being a bitch and won't load for me, so I can't tell whether they're even airing it. Anyone got a feed, audio or video?

Great effort by Milner. Stole the ball in the box, turned around the defender as he was being held and got a shot off as he fell. Saved by the keeper. The only 2 times Newcastle has threatened have been from Milner. I couldn't tell you what Luque is doing.

Krul looks shaky to say the least.
