Klose can't be replaced. He is just irreplaceable! But Werder will try to sign another good talented striker who can be as good as Klose some day. My tip would be Jan Schlaudraff, Jefferson Farfan or Huntelaar. But the last one is pretty impossible to get.
If Klose goes to United I hope they appreciate him. For Werder it will be a huge loss! :(

schlaudraff has let on that he is pretty much signing for bayern for sure.

and no, klose will not go to man utd!! I hope he stays in germany but if not then it's italy for him

As he should. I think he's too good for riding the bench all season long.

Farfan is a great young player, he's also the perfect fit for Bremen.

Btw I'm new to the board, just starting to follow Bremen. What a juggernaut:eek:? So, what do you guys think about your chances in the Uefa Cup? Can you guys win it? There is a lot of competition in the Uefa Cup: Sevilla, Benfica, Cska, Spartak and Ajax (your first opponent). But I still think Bremen is one of the top 3 teams along with Sevilla and Cska, and should therefore as a minimum, advance into the semifinals. I would love to see a German team win the Uefa Cup, we haven't been there for a while, the last German team in the Uefa Cup was Dortmund in 2002? or 2003.

Very true. Zidan is too exciting to sit on the bench. But, I would hate to see him go, as Werder is a club on the rise in Europe. If Klose were to leave, do you think he would get more time then?

Ajax is definitely not contending for the UEFA Cup. AZ maybe (beat Sevilla in Spain 1-2), although they're not in their best form either atm.

I think it's Sevilla, Bremen, CSKA as the top 3 contenders.

it's not the same Carlos Alberto. The one Werder is after plays at Corinthians and is a former CL-winner at FC Porto.

Leon Andreassen to Mainz 05 (loan until end of season).
If Mainz avoid relegation the deal will be exteded for another season.
