that was an awful first half.
have to play better.
2 goals isn't impossible to get.
why wasnt gudjohnsen called offside when he was 5 metres in front of mertesacker before the 2nd goal?

2nd Barca goal was off side by far, my grandma would of called it offsides, and she is blind!!!! by the sounds of it, Barca fans dont like the officiating either, as the officials havent been paid off for quite as much as usual

Brave performance in the second half boys. You were the better team in the second half, more shots and more possession unfortuantely doesn't matter when you can't put those chances away.
Werder deserved a draw to say the least but football is a cruel game. You guys deserve a lot of respect for the fight you put up in this group. Best of wishes in the UEFA Cup, you guys will be going in big favorites.

yeah barcelona were better and got the 2 goals.
bremen were better in the 2nd half but you have to put away chances that you create.
it's disappointing though that the 2nd barcelona goal stood. to have officiating mistake by small margins is ok, but that one was 5 metres offside. that's ridiculous

And if that's what you think, I suggest you read the entire offside rule. Gudjohnsen was onside when the final pass before the one to him was made.
Once they moved past the Werder defensive back line and were in on Wiese, Gudjohnsen only had to stay behind the ball, which he did.
The German announcers even call it a good goal.
Werder will win the UEFA Cup. Their performance deserves praise, not this f#cking whining.

I must say I am very dissapointed, not in Bremen, but in the result and all I can say is that Bermen is going to win the UEFA cup. Better luck next time fellaz.

I thought Gudjonsen was actually in front of the ball when it was passed to him but thats irrelevant, they would have still won by one.
Either way, Bremen has to regroup and realize they have a GREAT chance to win the UEFA Cup.

He was behind or closer to just even with the ball. He was definitely not in front of it.
I didn't post at first because I thought my bias would make me want to see him behind the ball.
However, after looking at the replays four times and hearing even the German announcers, who would want to create any bit of controversy they could say he was on-side, that was enough for me.
Either way, Bremen has to regroup and realize they have a GREAT chance to win the UEFA Cup.
I think they will win the UEFA Cup......

It doesn't matter. He played himself back onside before the pass was delivered to him.
