Why Klose was only 7th in the Ballon D'Or final rankings is a mystery to me...

Well he didn't win anything and he didn't show much in the CL.

Individual awards he did win German PTY, but thats not really a big award. World Cup Top XI too and top scorer. But yea, I'd go with that really. If he won the Bundesliga, I don't think it would have made much difference either. If Germany won the WC and he had scored a goal in either semis or finals, he would have won it IMO.
But I also think he would not have been at Werder right now and probably fighting it out with Louis Saha as United's top striker  :D

Who cares if he didn't win anything, Ronaldinho's first year at barca he won nothing but still got the award. It's a ridiculous double standard.
These awards are for individual players, not team efforts. Given, a player is a part of the team but Bremen wouldn't have gotten second place without Klose, or to the semi-final. He was consistent in the league, WC and the CL while many of the players on that awards list weren't.
Same goes for Lehmann. It's a real shame.

Well, I'm not going to argue against that. I personally thought that Cannavaro, Dinho (he did win La Liga and CL) and Henry (talk about someone who single-handedly led a team) had better seasons, but you are probably right, Klose deserved to be up a little bit more

so glad to see klose back in top form, Diego looks great, tuesday has the potential to be a VERY good day.
And about the klasnic and Hunt thing, i think Schaaf went with Hunt more because he has the fast attacking energy they are looking for, Klasnic is so much slower than Hunt, given he is a far better finisher, but Hunt is so young and energetic he has the ability to wear out defenders. Look in the tie against Barca, he alone was down there creating hell for the Barca defenders for the first 15 minutes of the game!

I'll be more than happy if Werder Bremen can eliminate Barcelona. Not because I hate Barca, not because I'm big fan of Werder Bremen; it's just for the sake of Deutschland's football.
Good luck to all Bremen players, you've got my support comrades!

Lets hope he turns in a top class performance tomorrow and then keeps his ass in germany!!
(personally i wouldn't mind bayern adopting werder's style of play and then buying klose so that him and podolski can develop an EVEN better understanding :D)

As TOLH and I have told the the guys at the Bayern boards at least 100 times. Miro Klose once said he does not like FC Bayern and would never play for FC Bayern.
I was there when he said it to some of my friends once in Kaiserslautern.
I know people can change their minds, but I don't see this kid doing that. He seems to be a man of his word.
Plus, earlier this season, when "SportBild" asked him about going to Bayern, he said, "If I decide to leave Werder Bremen, I will not move to another club in Germany."
Forget about Bayern and Klose. It isn't going to happen.
Not now anyway........

ahhhh i do NOT want him to go to an italian club. Im hoping for a premiership club. I really dont like Juventus. I want him to go to someone like Arsenal, he and Henry would be absolutely unstoppable, bad part is, they already have van Persie. But there are plenty of premiership clubs who could buy him!

you missed the biggest problem with my comment! Bayern could never adopt Werder's style of play!!! lol
but yeah, i was saying that tongue in cheek. I know it'd never happen. I hope klose does stay with bremen and helps them continue to build what i can see as being something of a very strong team that could win the CL soon.

in italy, i don't think klose would do too well.. and if he goes to a big club, he might find it hard to find a starting position wwith all the competition. I can see him go to arsenal though... but first lets hope to sign him for 1 more year or something.
