Hey guys,

Yeah, I'm still alive, I've just been quite busy with college.

I am coming to Europe in less than a week, and I will visit Paris and London shortly, then move on to the Netherlands.

I remember all the great deals you guys in England seem to get, so I was thinking of getting a couple of shirts, etc. while I was in England.

My question: What are some good stores in London that have cheap prices and lots of stuff? I am specifically interested in some Netherlands and Chelsea (maybe Ajax or PSV too) jerseys. I saw that JJB has a sale on the Netherlands shirt, so I think I will go there. Is the name/number printing pricey? I just wanted to know if any of you had some recommendations/suggestions.

Another question, I am also looking to buy PES6 for PC while I'm there (up to 3 copies, for some friends). What are some good stores to buy them not too pricey? By the way, would it lag if I we would play each other, since we all live in the same area. Basically, although we connect to the lobby server in England, do we connect directly to each other when we're in playing mode?

That's all I can think of for the moment.

Thanks a lot guys!

What are some good stores in London that have cheap prices and lots of stuff?

Sports World on Oxford Street is pretty good, it's next door to the Virgin Megastore. I would also recommend trying the Sports Soccer/Lillywhites at Piccadilly Circus, it's MASSIVE and they have sh!tloads of stuff in there. Mainly have great shirts but not too much printing, just the Premiership numbers and the odd international letterset. Obviously try JJB as well, the one at the Plaza on Oxford Street has closed down so I'm not too sure where the nearest one is.

I am specifically interested in some Netherlands and Chelsea (maybe Ajax or PSV too) jerseys.

Scum shirts are ever present on Oxford Street. Some of them (as you probably know) come pre-printed with Lampard, J.Cole and Terry on in Sports Soccer/World so if you're happy with that, try them. However, they have no sleeve patches, so if you want that try Soccer Scene next door to HMV. There is one problem - the lettering is £1.50 a letter and £4 per number, with the sleeve patches coming in at £4.50 (Premiership). They WILL charge you £10 to do it if you didn't buy the shirt from there, so you may well have to sacrifice the cheapness of Sports Soccer and buy it from there - if you want the Lextra numbers that is. It works out around the same price, and at least in Soccer Scene you have the option of a long sleeve shirt.

If you want the Champions League numbers and so on you will probably have to go to Chelsea's club shop, if you want I can look into whether or not they have them at Soccer Scene as I have their number.

You might get lucky with the Ajax/PSV home tops in Sports Soccer, but for away kits/lettering/numbering you're probably going to end up stuck with Soccer Scene.

Holland shirts are common, the numbering is not, which brings me to...

Is the name/number printing pricey? I just wanted to know if any of you had some recommendations/suggestions.

I've already said the general Premiership price. If you want a Holland shirt, I would go to NikeTown and get it, as they will definitely have the official printing for the jersey there. I think they charge £5 per number and £1.50 per letter, you will have to check there with them. However, they don't check whether you bought the shirt from there most of the time (they are meant to charge), so just buy a shirt from Sports Soccer by Virgin, walk 5 mins up the road and get the printing done there :)

Another question, I am also looking to buy PES6 for PC while I'm there (up to 3 copies, for some friends). What are some good stores to buy them not too pricey? PES6 is cheapest on the net at the moment. I bought my copy from Gamestation for £29.99, which is cheap as the RRP is £10 above that. Go to somewhere like GAME, HMV, Virgin, Gamestation...the prices are generally the same.

And you are right, there is no lag in the server, I was playing on it yesterday against an American bloke. He was crap!

Oh, and for that LOOOOOOOONG response you can buy me a beer when you come over! :D

Oh forgot to add - Soccer Scene is good because, if they're out of stock, they have another larger shop which is two minutes away on Carnaby Street! So if they don't have the shirt/numbering/whatever you want, ask them to phone the Carnaby Street store, and they will find out whether they have it or not. The CS store also has a lot of older shirts, you can pick up a lot of last season's Premiership, La Liga, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga tops for £10 - £20!

Definatley will :D.

Thanks for pointing out the CS store, as I would actually like to get a old Chelsea shirt with Gudjohnsen on it. (The new one would have Robben on it).

I will print this info out and keep it with me when I'm there.

biggSKIZZ, you've been on the ball this week...even more than normal! I guess we need it after the way the forum has been dormant for like a week.:o

Bloody hell, I would have tried to help him but...well you sorta covered every single bloody shop and price!

Anyways, dude, if we don't speak to you before then, then enjoy your trip because its gonna be a blast! London is such an awesome holiday destination...for shopping and for anything football.

Are you going to see a match? If not, at least go on a stadium tour. And if you have the time, just go to as many stadiums as possible, even if you don't like the teams...its still gret to see the sights...except for Shite Hart Lane of course.

I'm sure you'll be doing most of the things I'm thinking about that is cool to do there anyway...

This brings back memories of when I went to Malaysia and Singapore last year and achyx and co helped me out alot aswell...BS is great for this.

Ooo, I'm also waiting for PES6. I haven't bought Fifa this year...I'm waiting for PS3.

I know too much about these shops...I've bought so much stuff from every one! I wouldn't buy boots from Soccer Scene though, their idea of a sale is a pair of Vapor 1's in Charcoal/Cinder for £100!

And I bought Pro Evo 6 the other day. I find it to be a lot slower, with a lot more misplaced passes - a bit more realistic in that sense. Shooting is bloody hard as well, van Persie just hits the post and bar with everything I try! I was playing against my mate the other day, Fabregas took the ball down and spanked it from 35+ yards, and it hit the bar as well! I almost cried lol. He ended my bloody unbeaten record that day as well, got given 2 pens and I lost 2-1. Urgh. I still only lost one game tho! :)

I will also be looking for some scarves (some for my friend, some for me). Probably Chelsea (should be easy to find), Lyon and the Netherlands...
Skizz, got some suggestions? Lillywhites maybe?

Thanks,

Edit: Have any of you seen watches of national teams in stores? (Specifically the netherlands one, similar to this one (http://www.amazon.com/Nike-Analog-Soccer-Federation-Holland/dp/B000EK08PI)?). Thanks

Watches, you're best off trying NikeTown. Scarves, Soccer Scene has a SHITELOAD of them on a wall opposite the shirts. Go into the shop (Oxford St one), walk past the tills and it's there on your right, above the shorts and baby kits. There are literally hundreds so there should be some to suit your taste!
