So after the ridiculous suspension of Shalrie, can we all guess what will happen to one of the League's posterboys Mastroeni and some other Colorado players who were apparently heavily involved in the melee with FC Dallas player Sala after the game?

Not sure about this one. The best bet is since the whole team was going over to the fans that no suspensions will be given to the crapids. The guy on Dallas who went over to them and started punching them will get suspended next season like herron last year. The crapids are pathetic though. Any other team would have been celebrating by themselves, not purposely going over to the crowd and mocking them.

This is the second time Mastro's done that this year (he did it vs. RSL, and did not receive sanctions), and I love him for it. MLS players should take full advantage of things like taunting away fans (I said taunting, not touching, mind you), stage diving, stealing fan banners to make a protest, etc. that would get them fined in European leagues, because goofy stuff like that makes our league fun and interesting for fans.

The real question of who gets fined and future suspensions comes from the end of the Chivas game.

Prairie some of the things said I'm ok with ... but taunting home fans when their season has just ended, you're basically looking to piss off even more the fans that are fuming mad. Dumb dumb move ... he's lucky that no fans jumped down there.

Imagine Guerrero nailing the game winner and coming over in front of the Fort and pointing to those little tiny things he calls balls ... you don't think there'd be a fan or two that would want to go over?

I've watched this a few times, it's hilarious.

Right as the video starts you see the keeper come from behind and nail the guy that's really getting into harrassing the crowd by himself to the side. Then he starts punching people and they drop like flies. The first guy that gets shoved backs off and just watches.

Yeah that was pretty shamful. Houston scored 2:05 into injury time with 2:00 signaled by the 4th official. The fact that the ref let them restart and have 1 more chance was a gift. Also how out of position was Guzan on that goal.

Taunting fans after you beat their team is pushing it a bit but giving the finger to the fans is way over the top and just asking for trouble. Beckerman gave the double finger pointing down sign with both hands that if he did it in some countries would have gotten him killed. At a minimum their should be heavy fines to the CRapid players involved. As to the Dallas Keeper who decked two players---2 or more game sit down at the beginning of next year. Of course with Shaker H looking for a starting slot Sallas will likely be moving on anyway.

The houston-chivas post game was worse, those two team were ready to kill eachother, and I watch very intensely for Michael Kennedy to be taken down (no such luck) :(

I must say seeing the team care this much makes the league look older and more "professional". I put quotes since fighting is un-professional, but in pro sport (especially soccer) I expect these kind of heated rivalies. The teams are just going to play and be all "oh well, better luck mext time", these guys really want that Cup and are willing to fight for it, that makes good sports!!! It fun for the fans to watch at least.

weak. after watching that, sala should sit half the season. theres no call for that whatsoever, in any situation. he's a lucky bastard, if he was in denver they would have his head.

The question is: will MLS HQ "review" tapes after the fact and hand out suspensions (especially to one of their poster childs this year, Pablo).

Since they seemed to make a big deal about stating that they review all games tapes to see if they need to dole out any suspensions.

If he was in Denver the Colorado players would not have been taunting their own fans and this never would have happened...

The end of the Houston-Chivas game was bad. I was cheering for Chivas but if I was Bob Bradley I would have been embarassed by the players conduct through the second half. Team Discipline went up in smoke after the Palencia ejection and old-hands Marsch, Suarez, et. al. didn't do their job reigning in the younger guys. If they'd held their nerve and cohesion a bit better they might have had a chance to make it out of there.

Juan Pablo Garcia's tackle before the final whistle was apalling and should earn him a healthy suspension. As much as we all want to see passion in these games we have to draw the line at blatant thuggery. Punishment for that kind of behavior needs to be swift and uncompromising. It was especially disappointing because Garcia had played so well on an individual level.

like when thornton went after us last year when we were at home?

theres NO reason to attack a player on the opposing team after a game. NONE. EVER.

be a man, go to the locker room, get em next year.

That would be this year...how did that work out for you Zach? (maybe he was prescient and knew that was his last chance to hurt the Revs) :D

I like how the Houston players ended the scuffle by running over to their fans.:)

I expect Chivas to get some suspensions, but they won't go back and look for punches thown by Dynamo players. They're an AEG team, afterall.

Right, and he didn't get us next year which is this year if you look at it like it was last year and this year is a year later than said last year.
