View Full Version : DFB Pokal: 3rd Round (R)
19.12./20.12
VfL Osnabrück - Hertha BSC
Kickers Offenbach - Wacker Burghausen
SpVgg Greuther Fürth - VfL Wolfsburg
VfL Bochum - VfB Stuttgart
Hannover 96 - MSV Duisburg
Alemannia Aachen - Bayern München
Eintracht Frankfurt - 1. FC Köln
FC Nürnberg - SpVgg Unterhaching
Yeah - a home game for 96, I'm happy. It won't be easy to convince my friends to attend this game though but I really want to see it live, I love cup-games and evening games in the dark as well.

Away game AGAIN
It's been ********ing 5 years since we played at home!!!!
On the positive note though, we'll have a good chance of winning this tie, and if we do, then the DFB Pokal could start looking really serious for us :)

Nice draw again.
I`m in Berlin right now and watched the draw in a sports bar. Very funny. All the Hertha fans there were happy when the old Lady was drawn, finally a game at home and then - VFL Osnabrück! I couldn`t restrain laughter.
It will be a tough game for us for sure. But who knows, maybe we can pull another surprise.

Alemannia Aachen - Bayern München will obvioulsy be the TV match.
VfL Osnabrück - Hertha BSC will obviously be the upset match.
I have a feeling Nürnberg will be in the final this year. Not sure why, just a feeling.

If I remember right, Fürth had only 1 Cup home game in the last 5 years, too (the quarter final drama against Werder in 2003)...so at least they got a home game now.
I wanted to see a game against Nuremberg, Bayern, Köln or Stuttgart ... but Wolfsburg is ok, too (better than an away game in Osnabrück). It's the 1st meeting of both teams.

No, since they will lose the quarter final game in the "Franken-Derby". :p ;)
Alemannia Aachen - Bayern München will obvioulsy be the TV match.
I think that, too. Let's wait up if Bayern will be able to take revenge for the Cup defeat at Tivoli some years ago...

Hattrick Sportsbar near Schloß Charlottenburg. Seems to be a nice location to watch Champions League.

Is it just me, or are there a larger than usual number of non-1.BL teams in this round?

Hertha already missed two prime opportunities to embarass themselves in this year's DFB-Cup. Time to get it right ! As the top flight team Hertha is, failing three times is unacceptable !

You won't fail this time! :p :D
All joking aside, I personally feel you'll make the final this season...what would be unfair due to the home advantage! ;)

Today's games:
VfL Bochum - VfB Stuttgart
Eintracht Frankfurt - 1. FC Köln
1FC Nürnberg - Unterhaching
Osnabrück - Hertha BSC
Is there a contract that says only a certain number of DFB cup matches are allowed to be shown in tv?
I would have enjoyed watching every of those matches maybe except for Unterhaching.
Sad.

My friend was at the FCN v Unterhaching match. He said it didn't look to him that FCN gave their best effort and Unterhaching were only interested in stifling the game and trying to get it to penalties.

Congratulations to AACHEN for the upset of the round :)
Yes. They played like it was the match of their lives.......
At the risk of sounding like a Bayern fan, I have to say that I thought Bayern cared more about coming out of the match healthy rather than giving 100% focus on winning it.
