When you have a chance go over to the Dallas thread and read the threads about the post-game fight.
What I pieced together:
Apparently Colorado players taunt the inferno (grabbing their packages, shooting the finger, etc.) after their win.
Objects is thrown from Inferno section.
Sala comes in to protect the dignity of the Inferno.
Melee ensues
My Comments:
Remember how classy the inferno used to be. Much more classy than us.
Inferno members throwing beer cans and having a thin skin. That sounds familiar.
Sala a hot head, nah. Yeah right, remember during the USOC Cup game at Carl Lewis when he couldn't take our taunting at halftime.

I think we should hold judgement until some video is produced.,but nothing should be thrown at players or into the field.
I taunted the "Maestro" every chance I had last game we played the Rapids.I would say stuff like "Mastroenni........you suck",but he would only give me the thumbs up.,he never showed me the finger or nothing like that.
This seems to have been a hard fought match, with emotions all around.,I want to see some video.

I read that the inferno were chanting racial remarks at the Rapid players. I dont know if its true or not. I dont remember ever having any Rapid players here in Houston do anything to the fans.

You know what? If that happens today the same thing would happen. Anytime a visiting team taunts the home team's fans, bad things go down.
And don't forget Bandido that it was Hislop not Sala that played here in the USOC.

I haven't said anything about that Boludo Sala..........yet.:)
It was Rey.
In the video looks like Sala was giving away punches, like giving Halloween candy to tricker treaters.
Looks like the Inferno went to a fight match, and a soccer game broke out.

This is just bad business for everyone involved.,not something you really want to see.
Passions just got out of hand, and there is a fine line between "in your face" and taunting.
I caught part of the aftermath in Republica Deportiva.,you can see stuff being thrown into the field.and Sala acting like he could go another ten rounds with the entire Colorado staff.

Just to set the record straight, they weren't taunting the Inferno after they won they were just taunting all the fans, it was centered a couple sections to the left of us. You can tell because it's on the right side of the goal, and the Inferno is on the left side.
If any of you can honestly say you will just sit there and take it if Chivas beats you guys tonight and then runs over to your side of the endzone to start taunting you....

I dont think our guys are going to get into a punching match the Chivas players if we were to lose the game. I think Sala was way over the line and had no reason to start punching people in the melon. He knock one guy out cold with a sucker punch you can see it on the video.

To clear it up some more, there were never any racist remarks from anyone in the Inferno. If there were he/she would be singled out and pummelled.
Throwing things classless? Probably, but I can see fans of any MLS team doing the same.
Bottom line: There are no Crapids fans in Denver, so they have to gloat in other stadiums.

You can never say never.,but I would ask my Orange Nation now to look at what happened at the FU FC vs Rapids match, and take notice.
My seats our right infront,I can reach out and touch the players.and believe me,goalies and players do hear me.
If a Fake Chiva started any crap infront of me.,I would like to believe that I would say sh*t to him too.but who knows. Then again, wearing a orange sombrero and throwing stuff into the field?
I would stick out like a sore thumb.,don't you think?:(

Yep, and I said as much earlier in the thread. Any team that taunts fans is asking for a water bottle to get thrown at them.
Tough loss. To be honest, I was surprised that Dallas lost the series. On paper they should have finished CO easily. I'm not one for blaming coaches for a team's woes, but Clarke seems to have a knack for finding ways to lose in key moments.
I hope this doesn't change Inferno's plans WRT MLS CUP. I'll be there in a couple of weeks regardless of the outcome tonight.

Yep, and what was actually encouraging was the fact that actully, there wasn't much being thrown from the Inferno section, they were too far away from us for anything to have a realistic shot at hitting anyone. It was being thrown from just the regular fans, I say that's encouraging because it shows that these fans do care about the team, and will probably be back next season which is what we all want in the end.
Oh and Nobius, we weren't in it last year and put on a kickass weekend. The wounds sting right now but in a couple weeks it'll be back to normal.

i know it was shaka in goal, but sala practiced penalty kicks in between halves on the goal we were standing behind. very thin-skinned....we were taunting him and he was jawing back. not very composed.
