Oh, I always thought Aaron was ur english name. Your parents never gave you any other name? Like a second name? Well FYI

Aaron

Aaron: (Ah-ron as it is pronounced in Hebrew) was the brother of Moses. He carried out the first three of the ten plagues, on Moses's behalf. He became the first High Priest of the Jewish people.

Yeah, around the time when I was born we werent very fond of Iran I guess, and my Dad left Iran around 50 years ago, so the connection was rather weak (by choice). My family has suffered a lot from Iran and its past governments (including this one). I dont blame my parents for not wanting to have anything to do with Iran at the time. Too many losses, sad times.

YaldA--Name of the longest night of the year

Yalda is not a Persian name, it's a semitic name. The true persian name for the longest night of the year is shabe [B]chele.

For girls, i have heard of Golbarg and Golpar.

But best of all, I like "Iran" for a girls name. It used to be more common than it is now.
