I heard the rumor about there being 6-7 million pounds in compensation which is fantastic news if it is true. Hopefully that will give Wise some money to work with in January. I haven't heard anything concrete about how this money will affect the club though.

This is the first I've heard of the payment being 5 million.

Didn't Chelsea pay 12 millions pounds to compensate Man U for the Jon Obi Mikel incident? That's almost 20 million pounds that Chelsea have spent to pay off Leeds and Man U. Chelsea really has no limit to what they can spend, do they?

I'm fine if they're just a rich team and can spend big money in the transfer market, but it is something else to blatantly cheat twice to steal players and just pay off the other team.

I agree. The good news for us is that I read we could receive upwards of 10 million if both players reach a certain potential.
