Comcast added Fox Sports Net to the Atlanta/North Florida regions a few months ago, but no Fox Soccer, not even as a pay addition.
Just curious if anyone has heard about this being added any time in the near future?
Thanks

i've never heard of a comcast outlet that doesn't have FSC. it has been on every cable provider i've ever had.

edit: try channel 124. Comcast says it's on channel 124 in the atlanta area and 264 in augusta. and it's been there for years.

I don't have it, that's why I posted. :) It doesn't exist in Tallahassee.

i can't understand where the confusion was. after all, i always think tallahassee when someone says "atlanta".

Anyway I looked at the tallahassee channel line-up and you're right./ comcast sure does suck out there. you are missing a lot of regular channels everyone else gets.

get directv or dish network :D

Posted "Atlanta/North Florida". We are supposedly under the same division. /shrug

No point on the sat. Spring is my last semester of grad school and then back to civilization. No point getting in a contract when i don't know where I will be yet.

I believe Comcast only puts FSC on their digital tier. We didn't get it in MD until about 2 years ago? Whenever it was, I've been with DirecTV for five or six now so I really don't know or care. I know it's not on their analog cable.

Thx,

Jay!

I have Adelphia which just got bought out by Comcast. We have FSC here, but the question for us is whether they will add GolTV or MLS Direct Kick.....

Have you checked your digital sports package? The way I heard the story was there was a rift between Comcast and FSC a few years ago. Long story short, Comcast owns part of the channel now known as Versus (formerly OLN, formerly Outdoor Life Network.) Comcast felt that Versus and FSC were "competing" and began pulling FSC from their basic digital lineup.

Eventually, FSC came back to Comcast, but on the digital sports package in a lot of areas.

If all else fails, you could call your cable company and ask them.

FYP. Adelphia is now TWC in some areas, Comcast in others.

MLS Direct Kick is available online, unlike GolTV. I know which one i'd be pulling for. Then again, does TWC even have a deal to carry GolTV??

How do they not offer Fox Sports Net from day 1?

Tallahassee got Sun Sports (formerly Sunshine Network), which is managed by FOX Cable, but did NOT get FSN Florida, which was managed by Cablevision until very recently when it was swapped to FOX Cable.

(FOX Cable swapped its 50% stake of MSG Network, FSN New York, and FSN Chicago to Cablevision in exchange for FSN Ohio, FSN Florida, and Cablevision's 50% stake in FSN/National Sports Partnership and National Programming Partnership. FSN Chicago went out of business shortly after the swap.)

FOX Cable now owns 100% of every FSN regional network except:

FSN New York (100% owned by Cablevision's MSG Networks business)
FSN New England (50% owned by Cablevision's Rainbow Media business, 50% owned by Comcast)
FSN Bay Area (50% owned by Cablevision's Rainbow Media business, 50% owned by FOX Cable)
