He did not call the ABC (NE@Fire) game (that was Stone/Wynalda) nor did he call the ESPN2 (HOU@Chivas) game (that was Davis/Balboa) for the MLS playoffs on 10/22/06.
Does anyone know if DOB is scheduled to do any more MLS games for Disney in '06, or if he is still in their plans to be the voice of the USMNT and perhaps MLS for years to come?

Lets just hope he dissappears and we never have to see or hear him again.

Collecting trivia for the MLS Cup gig.
"Marcelo, did you know it took Justin Mapp 6.5 days to grow a 3/16" long beard? He used to shave with a Quattro razor, but switched to a Fusion before he stopped shaving altogether."

He's done some baseball playoff games for ESPN recently.

I believe he is calling the World Series for the international feed that MLB sends out to the rest of the world. There was something about that in the bio on him that the USSF posted last year when he was unveiled as a new announcer.

that would make sense if it is the case.
so will he be back in the booth for an MLS conference final on ESPN2 and then MLS Cup on ABC?
perhaps he'll also work the NCAA soccer champsionships for Disney later this year.

hopefully For football fans across America ESPN has told Dave O'Brian to stick with baseball and leave football to the professionals.

When his name is correctly spelled in the subject title, it is that hard to get it right in your post?

 The rest of the world actually watches the World Series?
Oh wait, how silly of me... they wouldn't call it "World Series" if it didn't involve the rest of the world.

Unfortunately, ESPN doesn't use the professionals for MLS broadcasts. They trot out subpar talent like Rob Stone who when not calling MLS games is about 15th on the list of sideline reporters.
I just hope that if Dave O'Brien is going to disappear that he doesn't reappear just before the next World Cup to call some soccer games. If he's going to be doing USMNT qualifiers and the World Cup then he should practice with MLS.

He is doing the International Broadcast of the World Series and obviously some of you who won't give him a chance to improve his soccer commentary are just as bad as those who would throw alot of hate into MLS.
At least he wants to do it and he didn't thumb his nose at it. So I hope for more Dave O'Brien commentary from MLS on ESPN/ABC. So he can prove some of you wrong.

What teams in the world could compete with MLB teams?

Maybe I'm stupid but doesn't every other country that watches baseball speak either Chinese, Japanese, or Spanish? Unless DOB speaks those how does he call the games?

I dunno, do people outside of England watch the Prem? Do people outside of Europe watch the Champions League?
You're not confused, you're thick.
