Ok lets face it , we are a nation that has been ruled by bunch of ruthless , self centered dictators for as long as we remember . But , lets see which regime you would rather lived under.


I personally would of lived under shahs regime , the only thing I hate about the shah was the fact that he was stupid enough to allow this revolution to happen. If he was smart , we would of never had these creatures ruling our country right now . Although , shah was a dictator that did a lot of wrong things, I believe he could of gradually turned Iran into a Democratic country after he saw the masses of people on the streets . But under this regime , Democracy will never happen, there are mullahs who would rather destroy Iran then to see a free Democratic Iran .

I am simply disappointed that anyone has bothered to vote in this thread.

use your power and add a "neither" option... another point to consider is the fact that none of us has truly experienced what is it like to live under the Shah... any judgment passed over how would Iran be if the Shah remained in power without paying attention to the fact that he was merely a puppet for Western powers is useless.. democracy in Iran has proven to be irrelevant to the Shah's nature (good or evil) as we saw in Mossadegh's case it was how the British and Americans felt about it that decided Iran's fate!

valanjak, seriously, !Bob is right, come up with something more creative. And like kami said, come up with other options.
