I thought kevin terry did a good job yesterday. He could have given a red for the vicious tackle but you cant blame him for being restrained.
Sandra Hunt called a rediculous deliberate handling on a play that was took quick to have been deliberate. Horrible call and I was thankfull the PK was missed.

So much for the "no jewelry" edict. Ruiz had a visible earring in the first half that was covered by a silly piece of tape in the second half. Other MLS players were seen with tape on their ears. I haven't looked at the WUSA match, yet.

Is MLS cracking down on jewelry? The players have worn all sorts of stuff since the league began.

In general I thought Terry was OK. Nobody's going to call a perfect game. He didn't buy too many of Ruiz's dives, but missed what would have been a good free kick chance for the Crew right outside the penalty area near the end of regulation.

I thought the PK call against Washington in the WUSA game was a bit harsh as well, but her arm was way up above her head and certainly not in a normal playing position. I guess she may have been protecting her face which I think we're supposed to allow according to the Advice to Referees. I don't think it was the worst call I've ever seen and the pathetic miss may well have been justice done.

I agree with you on the red card that shold ahve been given. i thnink it was part choke and part not sure if MLS is really being truthful about handleing it on the field this year. Other than that I think it was the best I've seen Kevin in a long time. He appeared much more fit than a few months ago.
The jewlery thing is a joke. We'll see how serious MLS is when the conference call come and what they say.
