Seems like a pretty comprehensive list to me. ;)
I'm not that familiar with Sosa, can you give me any more information about him Castroman, is he a striker? If he is I guess he is unlucky in that Argentina have so many options in that area.

Jose Sosa is a Playmaker who plays for Est LP he's one hell of a talent, Ismael Sosa is Aguero's favorite striker in Argentina hes a very good promising talent.
Castroman is a Winger! Right Midfielder and we all know what type of a player he is but im kind of surprised why The Botinelli Brothers are not included!

Will this team be better than the team made up of guys from Europe? I dont get to see much Argentine soccer so I really havnt seen many of them play. Individually they probably wont be better, but they will probably have better teamwork than what we saw in the Brazil/Spain game.

I think they're way better than half of the guys in Europe! not all! half! like Coloccini, Zabaleta, Aura, Insua, Lucho, Somoza, better than those players i believe!

re is pretty good, dont know if his nt material but his done alot for newells, i dont know romero good enough. encina is a young right attacking winger who if trained correcty is a deadly weapon. and aguirre is good. however i think that its very rare that we will see any of this players on the nt for a long time.

Isn't the point of having players in Europe to better compete with European teams? Because they understand the system, and know how its played? Every SA team wants their players to be in Europe for that. I mean its a great opportunity for local players, I agree but shouldn't it be more mixed up?

Lussenhoff, Nasuti, Gerlo, Tuzzio and quite a few others are better than Re.
Yes, I am biased, but watch them play and you'll see why.
And for that matter, if Veron is getting another shot, then Gallardo should get one too, just like Ahumada and, dare I say it, Nico Domingo.

I like the list.. I think Lussenhoff (maybe not because of his age), Domingo, and Augusto Fernandez from River should be tried out.. From other teams I would like to see Sosa (Estudiantes), Neri Cardozo (Boca), and maybe Ismael Sosa (Independiente), but I havent seen enough of him to say if he deserves to be in there or not..
As for the list, I think it's great.. I don't think Campagnulo, Palermo and some other guys should be on the NT, but there also are several great players who may end up being important for us in the future (Ustari, Belluschi, Montenegro, Mauro Zarate, Pavone, Palacio, etc.)

They were saying in TyC last weekend that some teams like Velez were playing to deny AFA their young players for the Sub-20 teams, the main example was Mauro Zarate with Velez. Does anyone know if this might extend to this new project with local players? Why would say Velez allow Zarate or River Belluschi to practice during the week with the National Team during big competitions like the Libertadores? Won't teams want their important players to practice with their teams? What you guys think?

Doesn't Basile want to have this get together after the season is over and before the new season starts? Can't really see any harm in that, surely it would be preferable for the clubs to release their players for training sessions rather than games as there is less chance of them getting injured.

Everyplayer will practice once a week!!! for an example there will only be 2 days of training per week and Basile stated that not all players will come 2 days a week! some will come on one day the others will come on the other day :>

I think Coco should have also included Sosa from Independiente and Ramirez, the kid from Colon, they should have priority over Palermo at least...Also Newells has a really good young defender, I forgot his name.

I think what will happen is what happened last time Basile coached the NT. He is going to test out these guys and pick a backbone so to speak to which he will add the good European players, like the Messi, Tevez, Saviola, Heinze, the Milito brothers, Aimar, Mascherano, Gonzalo Rodriguez (who is injured at the moment but should DEFINITELY get a chance at the team), Maxi Rodriguez, Zabaletta, Insua (for those of you who don't like him, I think Basile will still use him, he is a favorite of his) to name a few...
Basically I expect the team we take to the next WC, or perhaps even Copa America to be somewhat mixed. Remember that Maradona wasn't originally included in Basile's lineup last time but ended up there after the 5-0 loss to Colombia.
ETA: With regards to the exclusion of Sosa, again I think that he is going to add and remove names after seeing the the players on this starting list do. Again, his team at the start of his last NT coaching stint changed a lot by the time they reached the WC.

True not just that but we still have 4 yrs left and many players change! not just that but many youngsters come up! we never thought messi was gonna go to the WC! we didnt know Tevez, Mascherano, Lucho were gonna be included! we didnt know Palacio was either.
so many change Basile is gonna make a mix up which means in some positions we have players who play in our league better than the ones who play in Europe
for an Example i would take Ferrari Over Zabaleta and Scaloni!!! i would also Take Diaz Over Coloccini!!! thats what i mean :>

Nah.. Ferrari isn't that great (definently not NT material, in my opinion) and Zabaleta did good vs. Brazil.. As for Diaz over Coloccini, I think we are being too harsh on the guy.. He did pretty good the last times he played with out NT, and Diaz doesn't deserve to be there..
