That's still badass. I love seeing crossover.
One of the best interviews I've seen recently is Chad Johnson talking about how he played soccer for years and still loves the game. He credits it for his great footwork.

Maybe no one other than me--I just find it kind of interesting, that's all.

And it was already posted in the pre-match thread. I'm not trying to be an ass or anything, but I just see absolutely no reason why this merits it's own thread.
Maybe on the Red Bull board where the majority of people know of/care about Delgado and the Mets. I'm pretty sure a large percentage of posters here don't even know the Mets are in the Series much less care about what one of their players wears.

Right. See what I mean? I'd edit my post to say "was in the ALCS", but who cares?

No reason to be a sourpuss about it. Thanks for the contribution. I am glad to see someone beside me thinks it the sharpest kit in the country.

Bravo. As hard as I try to ignore baseball, I cannot erase the memories of a wasted youth spent rooting for the Mets. What I remember from those days is that the Mets are in the National League. That means that they couldn't be in the ALCS either.
Hey! Are you saying that the Mets were in the playoffs this year? Damn! I missed it.

Man, you guys are quick. If people actually cared about baseball around here then intentional typos like that would've been picked up on a lot faster.
Leave this to the pre-match thread where it already was!

Excuse me. I didn't mean this as a knock on you. Actually I am kinda envious of you because you didn't know that league the Mets were in.

So, uhh, just curious - anyone interested in the actual topic of the thread?
I'm wondering if anyone has any insight as to why Carlos Delgado is wearing a DC Jersey - does he have any kind of connection to the team?

Maybe has a deal with Adidas, and they give him free stuff. Just a guess.
Or he's a soccer fan.

I think it's classic. He plays in NY and doesn't drink the Red Bull.
Cool.

Man, SOME people on this thread have a serious bug up their @$$!!!
Thanks for posting this thread. I think it is pretty cool that a NY baseball player is wearing a DC United kit. Is the photo recent?
