Just want to know guys how far you think James is off of a bench spot at NUFC?

He only 18, and has been scoring consitantly for the reserves, after dominating youth level.

He is an attacking winger/striker, in the kewell mould.

Where are these "reviews" because I read the NUFC.com reviews and he is haly ever mentioned there. I have also actually seen him play and he is nowhere near to being first team quality.

As for the NUFC boards that is the place where intellegance and common sence go to die. Two thirds of the people on there haven't been to a single game this season and so they have no idea what they are talking about.

Last night I was at the Newcastle united vs Blackburn rovers reserve match. In my humble opinion James Troisi was man of the match. He was by far Newcastle's biggest threat on the Blackburn goal. As for him being ready for a fist team place, I would say he's not far off and if we keep picking up injuries the way we are I could see him playing in the first team this season. He is definitely not shit!!:)

He's on the Plane to Palermo. Main reason is that everyone is out injured. This game in Palermo is going to be hideous.

Youngsters Krul, Fraser Foster, Paul Huntington, Matty Pattison, Alan O'Brien, James Troisi and Carroll were all included in the 23-man party, although Roeder insists he will field a competitive side in the search for a positive result following last month's home victory over Fenerbahce.

Are you one of those two thirds by any chance?

HA!

No I've had the unfortunate pleasure of seeing all of the home games this season and several away. I did go to a few reserve and U-18 games early in the season but given our current form I'm not that much of a masochist.

I use to play with James Troisi just b4 he left for England, He was one of the best players that i have played with. THe thing with him is that he was the most hardest working player Ive ever witnessed, i mean that in his training ways, His step-dad (who set up his opportunity with NUFC) worked him like crazy and i mean crazy, A couple of times his step-dad took our training sessions because his dad use to run a soccer acadamy, those drills wre torture, the only time ive spewed up from exhaustion!!! his fitness level has helped alot in his endeavors with Newcastle. In saying this the kid has a lot of skill! He is very small but is strong on the ball and very very quick on the ball also!

Wish him all the best.

PS. does anyone know any way of me being able to get a copy of newcastle reserves matches so i can see how he has progressed?

If they do tape them then the Official website will be the place but you'll have to pay for it. But I'm not even sure that they tape them anyway.

Troisi's goal was all skill, reminds alot of a young kewell.

Luques second goal was an absolute peach

I want James and all his reserve and youth teammates to start every non-league match until we get out of the drop zone.

"Troisi wins Newcastle pro deal

Newcastle United have secured Aussie winger James Troisi to pro forms.
Growing up in Adelaide, Troisi was never selected for any of Australia's much-vaunted football institute programs, but has proven himself good enough to earn a pro deal in England.

The winger was called into the Australia squad this week in London and Toon boss Glenn Roeder said yesterday: "James has been asked to train with the Australian squad but he will not be involved tonight.""
