Who will compose your Center Midfield when Tugay and Savage call it quits? And when do you all think that will be?
I heard that Aldo Duscher (Deportivo) might come in January..that's why I was wondering.
Thanks.

That's a very good question that all Blackburn fans are wondering right now...Of course Steven Reid will be the heir of Tugay once he recovers from his injury and if Mokoena can keep smoothing out his rough edges, which he seems to be doing thus far, he could be the answer for Savage in the future. The youngsters in the Academy, Bryan Hodge, and Rostyn Griffiths are too far away from the Senior level to be considered. The other young guys we have are more suited for striker or winger (Derbyshire, Gallagher, Peter, Bentley) so it's not like we have any youngsters beating down the door for Senior level starts.
So to answer the question, there's really no clear answer. :D I'd love to say that Reid and Mokoena are the long-term replacements, but they are just WAY too iffy. As far as Aldo Duscher coming to Ewood, I'd be very surprised at that. But with Toogs at age 35, Reid out 'til February and Savage getting nicked up every game, reinforcements HAVE to be brought in and maybe Hughes starts looking for players he otherwise wouldn't consider...

I think Davey-Boy Dunn is far too injury-prone for a Rovers return.

Great post!
I fear a lack of youth in our squad. We need to think about the future rather than the present alone.
If Rovers became the sort of club that almost guaranteed starts for promising youngsters we could possibly build up their skills - in tandem with building up their skills and experience, their market value would go up too.
