The thing is... the "other" Ronaldo did stepovers in one on one situations to free himself. Its not hard to get into one on one situations as a striker. In a one on one situation, you can fake left or right, and go with it.

C. Ronaldo is a winger, which means he has a lot more defense to go through, not to mention the fact that coaches regularly have two men marking him, sometimes three. When you have three people covering you, it gets quite a bit more complicated than just faking left or right.

Not as much as the one-on-one. It's actually easier for a winger to be one-on-one than a striker IMO. But the striker can run directly at the defender while the winger has to run at an angle.

I would say C. Ronaldo's signature move is the stepover. He seems to always do stepovers.

We have always called the move Zidane is doing the "Maradona" but I have no idea why we did that, anyone know what Maradona's signature move was?

Also I have heard Pele's was the bicycle, did he actually invent the bicycle?

Another signature move that has a name is a move we call "The Brazilian" which is where you are running at a defender and kick the ball around one side of him and then run around the other side. I also don't know if this is the right name, or who invented it.

Leonidas was credited with inventing the bicycle kick. Pele was also known for his bicycle kick.
