So, Steven Reid is out for four months, but we have a good team without him, anyway.
This Polish side can be a threat at times, but I feel that overtly defensive tactics may cost us, so, in my opinion, attack will be the best form of defence.
What does anyone else reckon?

We have to go get the match over with early. We let the game hang in the balance too long and who knows what will happen. I'm not overlooking them, but I am definitely optimistic about this one. Benni and Nonda to set each other up for a goal apiece and Savage to hit one off of a free kick. Friedel for another clean sheet!!!
We're without Nelsen and Reid and they are without their star striker Brozek, so I guess it all evens out...

We're unlucky to be down 1-0 at the half. Cantoro's strike from 25 yards out took a cruel deflection past Friedel, and we've had some chances that just haven't been finished.
The crowd in Krakow is definitely up for this game.

And there's the deserved equalizer. Bentley put in a nice left footed cross that Savage got a head on to score his second goal in Europe. 1-1.

Bentley!!! He finishes the chance off after Nonda's shot was saved. 2-1 late, and this would be a huge start to the group stage if they can hold on.

Wow! what a game! Closer than it needed to be, but Euro football is always an adventure...
Cantoro scores on a horrible deflection in the first half, Savage equalizes with a header, then Bentley scores off of a 2nd rebound in the 90th minute!
Bentley, Savage, Benni, Friedel....All could be Rover's Player of the Year so far.
The Euro Group Stage campaign starts off nervy, but the result is a Win so can't complain!

I felt that this was going to be a tough game all along. Wisla has alot of Euro experience, and we were at there place. Any win under such circumstances is a good win.
Bentley looked dangerous a few times today, and as a whole everyone played well.

Just saw the match on setanta and it was a good tie..Always a tricky tie traveling to poland. Why was this match such an early KO? The stadium appeared to have floodlights so I'm trying to figure out why it kicked off so early?

Man United fans in Manchester?
Something odd about that.
Most Manure fans I know come from South Wales!

I'm guessing that the fact Poland is a couple of hours ahead of England had something to do with it.

If we had lost, I would perhaps have questioned the kick-off time, and used it as an excuse, but we had to go ahead and win the bloody match, didn't we?
