Let's get our new season started -- finally.

My lineup:

Carson
Young - Diawara - HH - Traore? [Ashton]
Rommedahl - Faye - Pouso - Thomas
D. Bent - Ambrose

Subs: Mhyre, El K, Traore or Ashton, Reid, JFH

I don't think this will happen. But you all know I like to play with lineup possibilities. Thomas can start, but will most likely be subbed off by Reid.

We all keep thinking this, but again, this is a MUST win. We need three points and badly. We cannot take Watford lightly. They may have only 4 points, but they have competed well.

I predict an Addicks victory, 3-1. We go above Watford by two points and improve our GD to -7.

C'mon defense, step up. C'mon Addicks!

The CAFC web site preview of the Watford match intimates ID may want to tinker with the team shape considering which players he has available.

A 4-5-1 lineup might be:

Carson
Young - Diawara - El K - HH
Rommedahl - Faye - Reid - Pouso - Thomas
D. Bent

I wouldn't mind seeing something like this at this time. Shake things up a bit. But it is also mentioned that ID has asked JFH to play in the hole behind D. Bent. So, it could be either Reid out wide and Thomas on the bench or vice versa.

One thing I haven't seen is any mention of Darren Ambrose. I know he was playing with a hurt shoulder, but I haven't seen any mention of his rest, rehab or fitness.

SO, guys.... I couldn't help but notice that we couldn't beat Watford.

At least West Ham are getting all the attention for losing miserably every week!

I am staying optimistic. I think the team is playing better, but not finishing.

Reid apparently had a great game and may be the answer in the middle.
