I just visited a premium factory outlet mall near Seattle and bought a pair of black/red Predator Absolutes for $79.99 US. Is it true that the products at factory outlets is of lesser quality? The only thing irregular about the Absolutes would be a small hole (binder ring size) in both tongues of the cleats. Could anyone enlighten me about the facts of factory outlets? thanks.

Thats funny you say that cause I got a pair of adidas indoors shoes and they had the same hole on the tongue. I was wondering what it was from. The outlet stuff is just the same as the store sutff, only its usually leftover stock that they need to get rid of. I think i might go down to the adidas outlet in town here see what I can pick up!!!

The hole in the tongue is usually put there to indicate that it did not pass as A grade during quality control, & the hole makes sure it can't be sold as such. The defect can be virtually invisible to glaringly obvious. Sometimes boots are rejected because the glue around the sole was somewhat sloppy. Doesn't affect performance, just purely cosmetic.

Where in Seattle did you find those? I live in the area. Do you know if they had small sizes (6.5)?

i got a pair of azt III's from the same premium outlet place a few months ago for $80 US. the box had a stamp on it that said cosmetic imperfection but i can't find anything wrong with them. i've used them regularly for the past few months and they've held up very well.

jeff, did they have a lot of sizes left?

A dentist drilled a hole in my tongue when I was young but I think he may have been drinking or something and it had nothing to do with his judgement of my quality..

Sorry for the late reply. When i went to the store, the only fg pair was the one I bought, and it was at the back shelves, with the assorted shoes. However, on the actual shelves there were many Predator Absolutes, but in XTRX configuration (i think thats what its called; they were metal.) This configuration had many sizes but they were 10 dollars more (89.99)
So if you are looking for FG config., I didnt see any other ones in my size (8.5), perhaps they have them in other sizes but not on the actual shelves. I also saw tons of absolados.

They did have a nice deal at the Nike factory outlet though, silver/black Tiempo Mystiques for 39.99.

i've never been able to find anything wrong with the boots I buy from nike outlet stores, except maybe that the laces on the right boot were shorter than those on the left boot. and that happened once.
