"Algeria, Angola, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Egypt, the Ivory Coast, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa and Tunisia were named by CAF as the countries who have performed best in continental club competition over the last five years."
Those twelve countries will now get two teams in the African champions league next year. There will now be 64 teams in the ACL.

The twelve teams will also be allowed to have two teams in the new African Confederations Cup, which will replace the African Cup Winners Cup.
