These guys are not SWAT (Iran doesn't even have SWAT, SWAT is a totally American term for a unit that does counter-terrorism in addition to other tasks, Iran has "Yegan Vizeh" which means special unit and they do the CT task..

These guys on the pics though are Iran's international stunt team doing a promo in Iran... Very professional and well paid stuntman team which usually works in Europe because they are simply as good as American and Europeans counterparts but do the stuff cheaper.. (don't you see the hairstyle and the way they dress up, I mean when seeing that you didn't think what is the need for them to set themselves on fire? and Iran only has couple of BMWs in police forces and it dates back to the time they were choosing between Benz and BMW for police forces and unfortunately they went with Mercs.. neither of those BMWs were white and they were Black M3, M5 and Z3)

Iran's real counter-terrorism, from about a month ago when a woman was taken hostage in Tehran:

Yes it is an M-16 but not a US license.. in early 90s Iran bought the production line from the Chinese.. The problem is that Iranians were caught in a middle of 2 opposition approach in gun manufacturing when it came to M-16, the Chinese way (which is quantity over quality) and the German way (focus on quality, Iran for years produced H&K rifles under the license)... anyways that is why you don't see many Iranian armed forces using the M-16s..

well I don't know how SWAT does things but Iran's "Yegan Vizheh" is known for its brutality.. minimum negotiation and their code of conduct is "kill".. not sure the date (but I think it was late 90s) when a hijacked plane landed in Iran and these guys went in and killed all the hijackers..

some years ago I was in Tehran when 5 gun man tried to rob a bank.. these guys arrived to the scene, they went in 5 gun shots were heard and after a delay 5 dead bodies left the scene in back of an ambulance... so yeah these guys are the real deal, last year when Japanese delegations visited Iran they were amazed by the quality of the CT forces and equipment they use which is on par with most European countries..

You play RS?! I still play it lol, been for the past 7 - 9 years now lol.. can't get enough of it. I started playing on Zone and ever since they closed RS on zone, we all moved to GSA. Tell me, do you still play RS? if so, where and under what name?

unfortunately no, i moved onto counter-strike like most other youths, but it never was as fun as RS - the game is a classic.
