Seriously, can you believe those jerks in the Chicken Little thread? What morons.

I'll join the Pollyanna group. I hate Chicken Little type people anyhow. Nothing pisses me off more than whinging and defeatism. Did Custer quit at Little Big Horn? Did Patton quit after Pearl Harbor? It's not like we're playing Chicago or the LA Galaxy in the first round anyhow. And it's not like Nick "oh look a cross, I'll watch it from the safety of the goal line" Rimando will see any playing time, save for a PK shootout. This is just stradgedy. No one fears us now, so it's time to strike....like a cobra. It's time to crush our opponents like gazelle bones in a hyena’s mouth (800 lbs of pressure per square inch!) it's time to play with it before we kill it, like my cat does his toy mice.

I agree with all the above except that we should kill it first, then play with it. Just to be on the safe side. :)

We're in great shape. We'll be able to just turn on the juice when the pressure is on.
Those Chicken Little people are crazy. Some asshole was even suggesting we try four in the back to provide more defensive cover. Wait, that was me...shit.

Just look at it this way, the fans in KC, C-bus, SLC and LA would love to have the chance at threads like this.

Those fools over on the "We are doomed" thread. The truth is that PN has specifically told all the players to play down to this level. We have lulled the other teams into the trap of being overconfident. We have given the rest of the league the seed of hope only to bash their heads in with the cleat of reality. We have the best team in the league, other teams have to play beyond their meager means to keep up. We have been playing at 1/4 our level all we need to do is bring it up one notch to 1/2 our ability and we have this in the bag. I am buying my ticket to Dallas.

Um, dude, I hate to be all "down" in the pollyanna thread and all, but it's supposed to rain like the dickens tomorrow :)
I don't think it will impact us winning all our playoff games, but just thought I'd point that out to you ;)

I think we should merge this with the fire Nowak thread to form one, big, ugly bipolar thread. Like the season.

Finally a thread for me. All this negative nancyism has really been bringing me down... Between the sad poll that shows little faith in our boys to the fire PN thread. Wow.
I predict that we'll win the rest of the games this season, take home that trophy and look SO good, the Premiereship will pull us out of relegation and we'll finally be playing against teams that really challenge us, you know?

Just wait. If we're eliminated by the Red Bulls it's going to get really ugly around here.

If we get eliminated by the Red Bulls, I pledge to drink a can of Red Bull. I have avoided it like the plague so far, but I am completely confident I won't have to do it.
People should trust my instincts about disgusting drinks. I am convinced that my taking a swig of Hynotiq is what lost us the Houston match.

Well, I can add some good news: in two games I've attended at Giants Stadium, United is 2-0 with a +6 goal differential (4-1 in April, 4-1 last October). And I'm about to order my tickets for Saturday. So it's 4-1 United heading back home for Oct. 29, right?*
Even this team can't lose 4-0 to Red Bull at RFK... can we?

Maybe that's it--maybe God is punishing me for all that Old Milwaukee I drank during my college drop-out years.

Welcome aboard! Every day is a beautiful cloudless 78 degree day next to the pool - and the ship will NEVER SINK !!!! :)
And on the Ledo deck, watch Carlos Ruiz repeatedly red-carded for diving as part of the entertainment
