Go Winnipeg!
At this point rooting for the nonexistent Winnipeg NHL franchise is more appealing than rooting for the former Winnipeg NHL franchise.. :o

Jesus Christ that Pens game last night was incredible. Anyone else watch the game on Vs?? I honestly think that last night's game was historic. Goals by an 18, 19 and 20 year old. All taken with one of the top 2 picks in the draft. The future began for the Pens last night. Staal is not going back to Juniors now. I loved the call on Vs with the announcer just in awe of the Malkin goal saying "Shades of Mario". It really was deja vu all over again.
Last nights game was a turning point for the future of the Pittsburgh Penguins. There's a buzz in Pittsburgh now, even more so than last year with Crosby on the team. This team will win a Stanley Cup within the next 5 years and I believe will be in Pittsburgh for the long haul. A stadium will be built and the team will not move to southern Ontario.

I didn't see that game but the Ducks Oilers game was on INHD1 last night (second best thing behind going to the rink). Have to say that while the Pens look great right now so too do the Ducks - they dismantled a good Edmonton side with Pronger having a fine game. They haven't lost a game in regulation this year.
Ed, if you want to do a hockey exchange sometime, let me know. I'll take you to the Pond and I'll come over and visit the Igloo :)

i know, so mad. well, shit happens and sometimes, Sharks look like they just want to skate around the ice and not try to actually play hockey. But credit to the Ducks, their team is solid. Pronger (hate him with all my heart) and Neidermayer are just too good. The only good part about this game was the fight b/w Scott Parker and a dude that looked like he played in "Slapshot"

Great to see the Bruins finally putting it together. I never got how we can be so bad, we have 2 good top lines, with some combination of: Savard, Murray, Sturm, Bergeron, Boyes, and Kessel. We just needed to find the right combos, the defense wa sbad with Stuart out and goaltending inconsistent(but I thought it was more defensive.
Savard has been worth every penny we gave him, 23 points already in 18 games, playing with Murray(who is on pace for 40+ goals and 90 points).
Bergeron and Boyes have been very good on the second line, if only Sturm can get it together.
Anyways, 6-3-1 in the last 10 games, improving....

I'm going to watch Lightning-Senators in Tampa on Sunday. Why, oh why, couldn't it be three years ago? :(
And on an unrelated note, this just in: The Coyotes still suck.
