If there is one thing I am sick of reading on big soccer it is

losing to [insert premiership side here] is unacceptable for a big club as big as ours

Usually penned by some long distance viewer in the Arsenal or Utd forum, these clowns seem to misunderstand the basic nature of probability. In other words there is always a chance thier glorious club will lose to any other side.

And guess what?

Play enough games per season AND YOU WILL LOSE TO THEM!

So here is a REWIND for the must win muppets

It's one thing to put in crap performances on the road, but dropping points at home against Blackburn is ridiculous.

Im sure People like Arsene Wenger, Furguson, or even Mourinho say the same thing to their players. Why shouldnt we?

If you think they say that to the players you are clueless.

Maybe they dont say This is a "Must win" but they certianly expect to win when they face much lesser teams. I dont know if they say it to the players or not (niether do you) but express those kinds of sentiments to the press all the time.

In other words there is always a chance thier glorious club will lose to any other side.

And another thing, thanks for stating the obvious.

you really struggle with the topic of convo eh?

the muppets of these boards think it inconceivable that their glorious clubs would ever draw with the likes of reading

top managers know full bloody well that a draw or loss to lower ranked clubs is always on the cards. In fact such results are expected and MUST occur.

The like so wenger do not prepare the team using the kind of sentiments spewed by armchair plastic must win now fans - how the hell would he clean up the shattered ego's every monday morning?

Note: Forgive me if my post doesent make sence, Ive been working all night and I just got home now.

I think you're the one struggling.

What you dont understand is that even if someone posts something like that, they dont mean it literally. Surely you cant really believe people think like that, that they actually think their teams are insured a guranteed victory against lesser clubs because if you did then you would be an idiot.

Even the most fairweather of fans understand that Big teams lose to lesser teams, Is it the way of life. They understand that it has happened in the past and they understand that since it has happened many times in the past that there is a chance it would happen in the future.

You took someones comment out of proper context and made a fuss about it. This was a stupid thread, thats the reason nobody has posted in agreement with you.

You're basing this on Manchester United fans being upset at drawing with Sunderland? Manchester United finished 68 points clear of Sunderland. Arsenal had one fewer point total than the difference between those clubs, and you think it's absurd for Manchester United fans to assume their club would win?
Yankee fans expect to beat the Devil Rays.
Alabama fans expect to beat Vanderbilt.
I'm sure most Washington Redskins fans expected to beat the Titans yesterday.
That's sports.

Old saying....

"On any given day, any team can beat any other team."

Always been true, always will be true.

Unless you are talking about the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Or this year's Oakland Raiders.
God they suck.

There are some DJs here in LA that are Raider fans that swear that their kid's high school team could beat them.

They might be right. Art Shell looks like he's given up, which is really sad just four (now five) games into the season. At least the Bucs and Titans are fighting. The Raiders just look rudderless.
