Ok, I need to find a way to create a GIF avatar, that shows the following logos in sequence:

Crew
Blue Jackets
Ohio State.

What's the best way/program to use to create such a thing?

Is there ever truely a need for an animated gif, especially when it's an avatar?

What's the best way/program to use to create such a thing?I use an old copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements, which I think is a poor tool for making animated gifs, but at least it works and tends to make pretty tiny final files. There are lots of specially made programs that do it, but I don't know of any free ones. There is an online tool (http://www.gifworks.com/image_editor.html), but it is also a little tricky to use. If you only have a few frames and this is a one-off task, it should be good enough.

^^good post

ii use adobe image ready.

you just get the 3 pictures, preferably the same size and combine them to one file.

Use image ready as well.

I think Jasc animation shop has a free trial. That one allows the creation from GIFS out of AVI files.

I used the GIMP and a tutorial I found on the Internet.

It might be too big for Bigsoccer, I wouldn't know anymore being a standard user/loser but oh well.

It looks like it would fit. It has to be 125 by 125 and under 35.2 KB. It seems to be small enough for size.

It is in use right now so yeah it must be okay.

An added note to the above; I used GIMP portable to make the animated GIF. It is available at The Portable Freeware Collection (http://portablefreeware.com/) along with a number of other great little applications that will run off of a portable USB drive (i.e. keychain/thumb drive).
