Wow Brzenska!
Makes up for the bullshit defense he played in the first half.
And wow Keith you aren't at the game....oh wait Cottbus lol ^^
Very funny! I don't travel to road matches like I used to anyhow. I pay for Arena, so I can watch in in the comfort of my living room. I have kids. Garmisch is too far from anything besides Munich to travel to matches all the time.

I just saw the BVB TV report of the game ... nice assist by Ebi .. he may missed the goal , but his assist on Frei was superb. As was Frei's shot ... surely a candidat for ARDs Goal of the Month

The only highlights I know are over BVB TV , but you have to join the BVB Club for that ... 17,99 €/year but thats worth
before and after every game BVB TV has repports , highlights etc
The only "bad" thing for you .,.. it's in german

I have to change my comments on that play. It did look like a blatant dive, but it was not.
Look at the replay again. Baumgart did not stay down looking for a penalty. He got up and tried to win a corner kick.
He was just as stunned as anyone about the penalty being given.
Yes, those are the words KC used on the list, but they are correct.
Florian Kringe stated after the match that he asked Baumgart on the pitch if he'd fouled him and Baumgart apparently said, "What can I do when the referee calls it?"

Good win! Great goal by Frei and Ricken really showed that he deserves a spot on this team.
Now to the Frei "penalty." I can see many refs not giving that penalty. Frei threw himself a bit at the end.. and it looked like he took a dive. So I cannot blame the ref for not rewarding him.
The cottbus penalty was bull shit but that was no dive. The two players went in and the cottbus player fell. He didnt dive, he fell from the contact which was not near worthy of a penanlty but still enough for him to fall and not dive.

Ricken played well. However, IMO, one good match doesn't show you "deserve a spot on the team". He has to keep it up.
I think a problem is we have too many guys who KNOW they're going to play no matter what.

You're the only person I know who has that sentiment. Even the Cottbus trainer couldn't explain that one away......
That doesn't mean I think you are "wrong." It's just that you're the only person I know who feels that way about the play.
The Cottbus trainer didn't admit it was a penalty, but he couldn't explain it away either.

I thought he went after the ball and caught his foot in the turf.
I thought he dived at first because of the way he went down. Anger about the call took over, but once I cooled down, I did see that he was just as surprised as anyone else and both teams thought the referee had lost it at that point.

We thought that after Stuttgart too. Not making any assumptions when it comes to Frei and form.
He was a bit better than he's been the past couple of matches, but I wish he'd come closer to matching Smolarek's effort.
A great victory for Dortmund lets hpe things continue like that!
Actually, we need to play better than that. It was nice to win, but this was also Cottbus. We SHOULD beat Bochum on Friday too, but with the way they got embarrassed at home this past weekend (6-0 thumping by Bremen), they will want to redeem themselves.
That match will not be easy.
