Chivas and America will play a "friendly" game in the NEW cardinals stadium here in Phoenix. I live so close to this new stadium and will be my first time going to it :) . Im sure they will air it on fox sports, more info http://www.azcentral.com/sports/azetc/articles/0930soccer0930.html

"The field was built wide enough to allow for international soccer matches. Spectrum officials said they are working to book more big-name soccer matches."

I heard that neither of the teams are going to send their stars. Is this true? I live in Phoenix now and wanted to go to the game, but I don't think it's worth paying $70 for tickets just to see their second tier players out there.

Thank you Moderator for the information and link. Here is part of the article:

November 1, 2006

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- "Sergio Santana scored in the 54th minute to lift Chivas de Guadalajara to a 1-1 tie with Club America in an exhibition match Tuesday night.

Salvador Cabanas scored in the 24th minute for America, which played the final three minutes of regulation plus stoppage time with 10 men after German Villa drew his second yellow card.

From what I saw on the highlights it looked like both teams had tons of starters.

I apologize Moderator. I did erase paragraphs from the original article, but I realize that I copied too much.

Did anyone see the game? How well did Chivas play? What was Guadalajara's formation (5-3-2 or 4-4-2) and starting lineup? Who were the subs? The article states that Chivas had more shots on goal. Did Chivas play better than their rival? I am happy that Sergio Santana scored. He is a player that always leaves his heart in the field. I would like to see him more often but I think that under Chepo's system there is no room for a central forward or "man of the box". Santana is such a player unlike Bravo who has more mobility. Large attendance in the stadium.

I heard they had to take Bofo to the hospital because he was getting hit too much....I'm not sure if he's injured....hopefully's nothing serious...
