Kuijt has a badly strained ankle as a souvenir of his appearance for the Orange against Bulgaria. If it is as bad as it looks it could cost him weeks (6)to recover. What does this mean for the Liverpool program the coming weeks?
is it going to hurt?

Considering how he was coming into form, and our inability to finish, it's a huge blow. I was looking forward to seeing him and Crouchy develop into a formidable strike partnership.
Guess we'll have to hope Bellamy gets off the schnide b/c he'll certainly get the opportunities. Perhaps a silver lining...

Benitez is pretty fumed about Kuyt not being sent back to Merseyside to be examined by our doctors, and I think he has every right to be.

It's apparently not as bad as it originally looked. He'll miss two games for you at the maximum. Especially considering his injury record: he's the least injured man in Dutch football.

It is being confirmed as two weeks off, but of course that doesnt include a game or two to get back to where he was........

As has been said here and as was evidenced today against Rovers, this is near catastrophic.
Hopefully, it's a speedy two-week recovery.

yeah, because without Kuijt the pressure on that lousy defense is getting higher than they can handle, oh I already said so:o

It appears that the effect is more apparent at Feyenoord than Liverpool...;)
