I've been thinking for years that ESPN should be showing the Premiership. Glad to see ESPN has finally come to their senses.

It IS the British feed of the channel. They also have one in France that shows a lot of tennis and assorted other stuff.
Having some old EPL stuff gives the UK version a reason for any cable company or Sky to offer it.
FSC and Setanta have re-air rights to games that they showed, as in years past. We'll see them typically during international breaks and over next summer.

Well ESPN Classic here can't cut into the hundreds of hour of Poker, Kickboxing and Bowling programing for it...:(

Not too long ago, they did. But it's been harder for them to bid into the Fox/Setanta/Gol TV triumvirate for European games beyond the Champions League.

ESPN CLassic Sports over in Europe is an amazing channel. Too bad ESPN CLassic here in the States is awful, aside from the occasional game about a sport I care about (hockey, soccer, open wheel racing).

In a related "whoa," FSN here in the Bay Area was showing last weekend's Bolton - Newcastle match earlier this afternoon, during the ManU - FC Copenhagen CL match.

The FOX regional stations have been showing EPL replays for at least the last couple years.
