Will Anton Ferdinand, Nigel Reo-Coker and James Milner be United players in the near future?

(If you think two of the players then vote all)

And how likely for each?

James Milner doesn't impress me all that much tbh, and Anton Ferdinand comes into a place where were covered for a while, whereas Reo-Coker is young, captain material and in a place where we need someone like him.

You could've just set up a multiple option poll.

If we get Hargreaves/DM I doubt that we'll be getting any of them TBH, Reo-Coker seems the only reasonable one but as I said before if we get Hargreaves/DM and Gibson coming back I dont think that we will go in for him.

There's no need whatsoever for Anton.

Reo-Coker isn't exactly what we need but he might do a job - only if we move a CM though.

Milner I like, but there's a question about whether he'll blossom into the player he seems like he could be.

NRC in a heartbeat. I can't see Anton playing well with his brother. Just a thought. But then Phil and Gary did it for so long...

No to all three. We don't need any of them.

I watched the England U-21 game today, and Reo-Coker played pretty well. I think he could slot alongside Carrick quite comfortably in midfield - he's a good attacking midfielder, but he also has this ballwinning ability that might do wonders for our midfield.

Thank you, President Clinton.

I looked at the game last night after my comments and I have to say I knew he was young but I didn't realize he was U-21. That changes things. He's positive, vibrant and he might make more of himself in a few years. I'd take him.

I've been a fan of Milner for a long time, but I must say that he hasn't developed as I thought he might. :( I don't see him ever being a starter for United unless his game drastically changes. NRC has the ability, but somehow I don't think he'll end up at United. SAF will not move for him for at least 2-3 more years. By then I'd imagine he'd be at another big club.

The one I like is Anton Ferdinand. I don't think it would cause a real problem to have both brothers on the same team, but it would cause friction if one of them were not a starter. So, I don't see United moving for Anton until after he's firmly established himself as starting caliber for United. Once he has though, I definitely see him leaving wherever he's at to join United.

There's no point.

Anton might turn out to be world class but we've got Vidic, Brown, Pique and Evans who are all excellent CBs. Brown isn't starting and he was one of our best players last season.

Reo-Coker would be great for this team. I'd love to see him come over here, he could be a future captain next year. We are set at CB, and I've not been impressed by Milner recently.

I'd take NRC now, and have him apprentice Scholes. Alot of what NRC does is physical, running, challenging, if you wait to get him...Scholes is done and who's left to tutor him? I'd rather get an unpolished NRC now and know that he's got the people around him, rather than wait a few years to see if he'll be it then.

The problem with that is simple.

We've got too many unknown quantities in our team.

Lets start with Central Midfield. Scholes is the only proven United CM. We don't know what Carrick will become and what role he'll ultimately play.

Fletcher is coming into his own but he's got to prove himself a bit more before we can say for sure.

David Jones needs to get some PT somewhere. If we're talking Schoelsy replacement he's certainly deserving of a shot at it.

So we've got 3 unknowns just in CM we're not even going to talk about not really having a set XI - we really don't need to add another question mark in central midfield. If we do get someone - he's got to be the real deal - a guaranteed solution to our biggest CM problem - we can't afford any luxuries in that area.

All of them are young so there is no telling what could happen. They could shoot through the roof, or crash and burn. The only player I would like is Reo Coker. Milner is nothing special. He is just a big boy with some okay moves. Anton is good, but we are stackdd at centerback at the moment.

Milner is the worse of the three, and I wouldnt pay 1mil for his services. He doesnt bring anything to our squad that we dont already have.

I'd take Ferdinand or Reo-Coker. Then I'd try to convert Ferdinand to be a DM, as Rio should have been ;).

Milner looked like a fantastic prospect two years ago. He's regressed since then.

No.

They would cost too much, being English!

Talking of transfers wonder who the 8 clubs in the Stevens report are? Guess we will have to wait to find out.
