stub a paperclip in the tiny hole of your cd drive. push it hard and that should do it

If its a laptop, try pushing in on the drive, mine for some reason is permanently stuck on something and I have to give it a nudge for it to pop out.

but seriously, is it a mechanical problem with the drive or is your computer just not recognizing the drive is there? noahitmch has the right solution for most of the troubles ... for Macs I know there's a key you can hold down while you restart that will automatically eject. I'm not sure if something similiar exists on a PC (if that's what you're using).
good luck. :)

As explained above, a simple paper clip should do it.

When I first learned this technique I was stunned. Also, shortly after that found out that the little hole in all elevator doors is a simliar mechanism.
...I'm somewhat easily entertained

Electronic auto-flushers also have a flush button.

Ona lighter note, my college roomate got a porno DVD stuck in his parents DVD player while he was back on break...
He ended up having to use a pair of needlenose pliers to pry open the hatch and wrestle the DVD out, leaving him with a scratched DVD and broken flap on the machine.

Some years ago,a friend of mine found a box of VHS tapes with pornographic titles on a street in Tokyo a night before a garbage day.He took some back home and stuck one into his VHS player. And,you guessed it,it not only did not play but did not come out.He eventually took the player to a repair shop and was told that there was glue inside the casette and he was not the only fool in town:D

Try opening the nearest window and throwing the computer out. The go out and pick up all the mess and don't forget to get the cd.
You are very welcome! ;)
what a goal!

Thanks in advance.Try turning the computer off and then re-booting it. Then try pressing the eject button where the cd is stuck inside it.

I did. Someone else elsewhere suggested what soccerharryroo suggested, and it worked like a charm.
I was up past when I should've been when I started this thread.

sometimes if the external eject button does not work you can open up a program like a dvd player or a media player that has an eject button and click on that and the cd player will open
what a goal!
