Good morning,
Please be advised that there will be extra security in and around section 127 for Saturday's game due to the events that occurred on September 13. Outside of that one incident this year has been fantastic and we are looking forward to continue working with you moving forward. It is my hope that if you should see any incident that violates any of the stadium rules that you will point out the people responsible so that the entire group does not suffer.
Tremendous progress has been made for next year regarding the supporters section and it would be a shame to see all that progress go up in smoke due to the actions of a few persons.
Thank you and I will see you on Saturday.
Sincerely,
Marcus Myrick

Congratulations! You know you have reached a new level of true hooliganism when you merit EXTRA -- and I quote -- EXTRA security surrounding your presence! Nice going guys...

It is truly the actions of a few that have brought this "extra" security on us. :( It is all because of the smokebomb, whoever lit it, and whoever knew about it and encouraged it to happen.
I talked to Marcus about the security situation today and he says that if folks aren't on their best behavior, folks could get arrested, and/or folks could get banned from the new stadium.
And for anybody reading this who is all sour grapes, who thinks to him/herself "Well, I'm not going to support the Rapids after this year anyway"---please do a HUGE, HUGE favor for those of us who *do* plan to stick around: don't screw the reputation of the whole group just so you can go out in a blaze of glory.

....(yawn)
Extra security would have been there anyways. It would be the smart thing to do.

Many thanks to EVERYONE who helped make Saturday night a success. There were no incidents to report and that is a very positive development. Thank you for your cooperation.

The only incident I'd like to report is that the free schwag thrown into Class VI sucked! We got the beer coozies that were red and didn't even say Rapids on them anywhere. Many went back to the Cheerleaders from where they came.

On a similar note, for the very first time this season schwag was thrown into 127, but it was all schwag from other MLS teams!!! I got an RSL bag and BP got a Chicago Fire bag. WTF?? The cheerleaders couldn't understand why we were "giving" the schwag back.

I got an RSL bag
WTF?!?!? Were they giving it to you to burn? How about for a nice picture with the RMC crushing it? Unbelieveable...

Mine was a Hoops bag. I saw one Los Goats Jrs. bag as well. Mine went back out, can't say what became of the other.

That explains why they were being thrown into 127 as the cheerleaders returned.
