I noticed the Sky Sports HD banners on the field in the Man U game highlights... when can we expect to start seeing EPL games in HD in the states on FSC? Maybe they already are on Setanta/Satellite?

Would like to see the EPL (and FSC) move to make all games HD kinda like the NFL... they've done a good job with the EPL brand and the Preview/Review shows... HD picture quality is the only thing missing.

In a podcast conducted by EPLTalk.com boss "The Gaffer", FSI VP of Production Dermot McQuarrie said that the Trans-Atlantic transmission of an HD feed would require 5 times as much bandwidth as an SD feed.

There is obviously a cost issue that FSI will have to find a revenue stream in order to cover if "FSC HD" were to be launched.

Yeah but the bandwidth already in place... just not by FSC I guess. We just had an entire World Cup tournament broadcast in the U.S. in HD. If ESPN/ABC can do it then Fox and the EPL can too.

ESPN televises most of their live sports events in HD, and in any event, they have a bigger budget than FSC.
