Radio Manchester are covering the FCUoM game against Salford at The Willows, Salford at the moment. This isn't meant to wind anybody up, but if you are curious about the FCUoM experience - listen to program.

Thanks, although I can't listen here at work due to the proxy. If they cover games on the weekends I'll check it out. Tried to see if we could attend a match of FCUM when we were there, but it didn't work out.

It actually got a bit more serious than that - and there was indeed some trouble as the match ended.

That's pathetic.
And anyways, why can't Manchester have multiple teams? They now have 2 good ones and a sh*T one.

It's said regarding the FCUM fans who broke away from MUFC. Stcik to your club through thick or thin!
Really, do they think that Glazer spent millions trying to buy MUFC so he could cripple it, and as a result, cripple his finanaces?
EDIT:
Sir Alex Ferguson on FC United, "I'm sorry about that. It is a bit sad that part, but I wonder just how big a United supporter they are. They seem to me to be promoting or projecting themselves a wee bit rather than saying `at the end of the day the club have made a decision, we'll stick by them.' It's more about them than us."
(thanks Howard Zinn for the quote)

Pity that he couldn't have said the same thing about that freakin' race horse - and maybe we wouldn't have the situation that we have today.

Not just united fans against united fans, Think Salford City

you see united fans slagging off united fans, The thing is most comments
above?? are just people jumping on the story. and dont really know what
happened:(

No.
But he didn't buy the club to make it the most successful club in the world either. He wants to make as much money as possible, with as little re-investment as possible. That's no way to run my club.

To bleed it dry, would put it oneway. but the fans wouldnt let
it get that far. And trust me the fight still contiunes. LUHG.

I wish FCUM the best. I certainly understand why they formed the club. It will be interesting to see how far they can get.
Out of curiosity, what is the Salford City side like? Who typically supports them?

Yes the fight does go on but we must realize who the enemy is ...It's Glazer not reds vs reds :o

They tend to have crowds of around 80/100
but played FCUnited on a wet tuesday night,
and 4,000 turn up. 2,500 were fcum fans and
around a 1,000 supporting Salford,the other
500 were just floaters, that came to see what all
the fuss was about.

how many years do you thinkl it would take for FCUM to have a competitive match against United.they are currently in the North West County League with promotion relatively assured this year.......me think in about 10 years they should be in league 2 atleast
