Basel - Swiss League Champs year in and year out
Feyenoord - The club we bought Emerton from
Wisla Krakow - A Polish League team who are 3rd in their League...
Nancy - French League newbies who sit 3rd in Ligue 1 this year

Dangerous group as Feyenoord, Basel and even Nancy(who beat Schalke to advance to the Group stages) have the talent to turn us over if we get careless. Even though it is a tricky group, we really didn't draw a top notch side like Sevilla, Ajax, or Parma. Would've liked to have drawn Rangers, but oh well, maybe in the next round!

The schedule is as follows:

Oct 19th - Wisla Krakow at Rovers
Nov 2nd - Rovers at Basel
Nov 23rd - Feyenoord at Rovers
Dec 13th - Rovers at Nancy

All in all, I'm happy but that first game is going to add to a very congested part of the schedule of 4 games in 10 days! The boys' fitness will really be tested in this stretch.

Good to see the travelling Rover supporters in England have a trip to Switzerland and France to look forward to!

i fancied a nice trip to holland but i cant no more holidays left at work and cant take a sickie because its stock taking as well what a bumer

Not last year they weren't. Not looking that good this year either. :D

Good draw, given the European pedigree of Basel and Feyenoord. At least we didn't get some like FC Xygerndu of Macedonia, as happens in the UEFA Cup from time to time. :D

It looks like, if we keep our concentration and don't take anyone for granted, we'll make it through.

I'm quite glad we haven't been given the worst draw. Some of the teams, I don't envy at all....like teams that have to face the might Blackburn Rovers!!! Ha ha ha (evil laugh)!!!
