I think Bayer can win that group.
I don't fancy Frankfurt's chances, but they have a chance and that's why they play the games!!! :)

I don't think he meant Newcastle.
If so, he's nuts. Newcastle is finishing first or second in that group!
But again, I don't think he meant Newcastle! I think he was JEALOUS and meant Odense because they knocked out his guys!! :D

Ouch....tough group for Frankfurt. But if they play like they played in qualifying they could very well go through.
I'm looking forward to the Leverkusen/Tottenham game because of Berbatov

I think you're crazy. If Newcastle can't finish in the top three of that group, then everyone should be fired.

That way I see it, all 4 of those teams (even Eintracht and Fenerbahce) can beat them. Thats a pretty hard group IMHO.

And they can beat those teams just as well. This all depends on what you WANT to happen.......
I actually think Newcastle wins that group. This is the highlight of their season. Their fans know they aren't winning the Premership title. The UEFA Cup would be a nice consolation prize.
Now, is it that you think those others are truly that good, or you just don't like Newcastle???
The Old Lady Hertha

A little bit of both. Not crazy about Newcastle, but I don't have a crusade against it like many Evertonians do.
It all depends on which Newcastle defense shows up. The headless chicken defense or the completely inept one :D All I know is that they will need to be 100X better than they were against ManUnited, because while ManU were great, the barcodes were equally as horrible.
Well I hope that Eintracht beats Newcastle. They can do it if they are concentrated enough. Something that the Newcastle defense lacks sorely.

Yes it would be but honest, I don't think they will win the UEFA Cup, it is not as easy to win it.. and I think it would be more then a consolation price for them it would be a huge achievement

Yeah, their defense isn't great, but how many of those other teams have Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Scholes in midfield??
Yes, while they are one of the worst defenses in the Premiership, they also haven't given up more than two goals in a Premiership match this season.
One at home against Wigan, Two at Aston Villa, Two against Fulham at home, they shut out West Ham, gave up two to Liverpool at Anfield, one to your boys Everton in Newcastle and two to Man U. at Old Trafford.
It's not like the Premiership is the Bundesliga or Serie A. Goals get scored in that league!
Are you certain that their defense isn't good enough to stand up in the European game?? The way I see it, yeah they suck, but there's also no shame in giving up two goals to Villa, Liverpool and Man U. Those goals are half of all they've given up this season.
Are you sure their dismal defensive record isn't at least partially a product of a tough early schedule?
How many other teams have already been to Villa Park, Anfield and Old Trafford???
Also without their #1 keeper? I think that's what will kill Newcastle quicker than anything.
Well I hope that Eintracht beats Newcastle. They can do it if they are concentrated enough. Something that the Newcastle defense lacks sorely.
I don't know what that says for our teams then. Newcastle is there and neither one of our teams are, so they must be doing something right........

I need to choose better words next time.
I didn't mean to imply they will win the UEFA Cup. I just think TOLH is downplaying them more than they deserve.
Yes, it would be a huge achievement for them, but when you play in the Premiership, that's still a consolation prize. Only the champions get to raise the one everyone wants.

Agree the Premiership is the grand price for any team in England, but they are well aware that have no chance at all to win that, not only this season but IMO many seasons from now on, that’s why I said it would be a huge achievement, and lets be honest they won’t kiss Champions League football either anytime soon..
