Huh?? Are we debating if Henry will score 20 this year? At this time of year with him sitting out multiple games due to injury? We're scraping the bottom of the barrel for posts I see.

last season, he was injured for 2 months (?!) and still managed to be the top scorer .. This season he had a rusty start, not injured .. So just 20 goals ?!

I would rather have Henry score less 20-30 for the year. I would like to see RvP, Adebayor, Baptista, and few others increase their goal total....make it more of a total effort.

We shan't rely on Henry too much, shall we?

U mean let Henry score 30 goals and let Ade, RvP and Bap score 20 goals each ?! :D ..
I would always love see Henry scoring .. More than half of them would be great goals ..

PS: The prayer really worked ;) (CharAth Vs Arsnl) .. Cool ..

LOL....this was my thinking
if RvP got 15, Ade 10, Baptista 10, and Henry 20.
I think that would be excellent.

That would be an ideal distribution, but at this point, when is Baptista going to play??? I presume he'll be in the mix at some point, but who knows when?

I expect RvP to break out big time this year, he's a starter for Holland now, and well settled with Arsenal.

In fact, I'd like to see RvP challenge Henry for top goal getter. That would bne indicative a team that will be nearly impossible to stop!

Does it really matter who it comes from? As long as they go in im fine.

Does it really matter? I mean if he contributes w/o scoring necessarily and the team gets results, does it matter if it's 15 goals or 30?

That is what I want to know. Why on Earth did Wenger bring him to Arsenal, if he is never going to play?

I was under the impression, mostly from posts here, that Baptista has had fitness problems. Which kind of makes sense, you have to work at Arsenal, rather than laze about and collect your check, as at Madrid.

Perhaps the new atmosphere, and "culture" of the club will take some time to have an effect on Baptista, along with him gaining full fitness. Hopefully, it does and he lives up to his potential in our system.

Sorry if this has been discussed already. But I wonder if he really is going to give it his all, he did turn down a move to Arsenal in the Summer of '05, so perhaps he's isn't excited for the loan move.

Or maybe Wenger is holding him back a bit in hopes of making him out to be less valuable to get a better deal from RM. Although I'd rather have him scoring and winning games, than the Club saving a million quid or so in the market. We do have a pretty good line up of offensive midfielders so we don't exactly need him to perform at tippy top level. On the other hand, as I write that, it sounds asinine, forget I said anything.

Next time I'll think before posting . . .

I wonder if he sent Sir Rednose a nice gift basket of scotch for benching horseface and letting him win the scoring title?

To me the question isn't how many goals are each of our forwards going to get, but more of how many goals are the midfield going to chip in this season. The reason we struggled to 4th place was partially due to the fact that our midfield didn't score goals. Now that we have Rosicky, and Hleb is improving, i'd like to see 8-10 from rosicky and 5+ from hleb.

They have the talent, its just a matter of being willing to pull the trigger.

To be honest I dont think Henry till score the same or more than last year. Reason i'm saying this is because he is more of a team player now. Last year we only had 1 scorer pretty much and that was him. We had your odd scorers but for the most part it was him. This season has only a few games into it and we already have 10 scorers. Henry has matured greatly and is playing more team football now. He passes to the open man, and as we see this is starting to work m ore than him just scoring. If the team continues to play this way, Henry will probablyt have 20 goals along with RVP, Rosicky, Hleb, Fabregas having a good amount.

Well the last couple of games i observed Wegener insists on playing Henry More to the Central than the Prefered Left.

Dang, i got caught in two minds in this post i'll finish it later;)

Watching TH score is such a treat. Elegance & power. His current form is off and I'm not talking about his speed or movement. Purely his striking i.e., missed some easy ones against City & should've buried the one against Charlton.

This season the mid-field will chime in, our other strikers will be scoring too and so Henry will be more of a playmaker. That's not to suggest he won't get 20 but anything more than that is a bonus.

I'd like to see Cesc get about 10 goals.

In the Charlton game, he was central AND left. Was at his destructive best when he was cutting in from the left though. A good couple of long-range shots at goal, an assist for VP for the hat-trick miss, and the last minute move to feed Cesc in the centre.
