skysports (http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=419429&CPID=8&clid=3&lid=2&title=Break+angers+Wenger)

Euro 2008 qualifiers:
Henry
van Persie
Rosicky
Hleb
Fabregas
Ljungberg
Gallas
Djourou
Lehmann

Africa 2008 qualifiers:
Adebayor
Toure
Eboue

Internationals:
Gilberto
Baptista(?)

I'm probably missing some players that got called up, but we could have 14+ players called up for interational duty. Most will play two matches and for the majority of the matches and when they come back we play Watford on the 14th and have a CL match the following Wednesday. The Euro qualifiers end on the 11th and that gives us two days of real prep (minus a day for flights)? Damn, this could effect the good form we've been having...

we have a nice cushion in the CL i say we play a mixed squad for that game and rest some people, but we need the 3 points in the watford game, just my take.

I think we have to win the CL game. It would make us favorites for 1st place and make progression guarenteed.
I think we'll rest tired legs for the Watford game. My prediction is the Beast will start that one.

I don't see Wenger changing the team much for either game unless someone comes back from international duty with an injury. Ljungberg and Rosicky seem to be playing every other game at the moment anyway, as do Van Persie and Adebayor.

Also, according to the Arsenal website, Senderos and Clichy should be back in between two and four weeks, Diaby in four to six weeks and Lauren in the next month or so too.

CSKA is right behind us with 4 pts and we're playing in Moscow on the 17th not the 18th (wednesday) like I mentioned in the original post. Either way, it's going to be a tough test in Moscow.

The injury update is somewhat of a relief.

I'd be happy with a draw in this CL game, and take the 3 points againt watford. Let rvp and henry start, then sub baptista on around 60 minutes, if we are 2-0 up take henry off instead of rvp. If baptista plays well, then I'd use him for the full game against watford and let henry rest that game.

I would like three points each game.:p

I really hope Gallas doesn't play but knowing France he probably will play

Knowing France? what does that mean? If youre refering to the Makelele situtation, Gallas actually wants to still represent his country, and seeing he played a full 90 for arsenal, he's not hurt and will be on the field for France.

The timing is unfortunate as we have just found a bit of form and you really want the team to keep on playing together. It is the same for Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd also, so it's no handicap to our title ambitions in relation to the other serious contenders. If you want a team full of top players, they're going to be international players, so there's no real point moaning when they have to go away for international duty.

The only real gripe I have is the proliferation of international friendlies, especially the ones before the season starts, otherwise it's an honour for players to represent their country and I don't think Wenger should keep on using it as an excuse for poor form. If we drop points in our nect game and Liverpool, Chelsea and Man Utd win, what's the difference? I think the constant harping on this subject and tiredness in general can get into the players' minds sometimes. Maximising the positives and minimising the negatives would be a much better use of his public pronouncements.

Arsenal.com does not have him listed as being called up:

As long as nobody gets injured I'll be really happy.

He's with the team, but doesnt seem to be training. There are no pictures of him training with the team in the closed door session today either.

I think we're more likely to win with squad B in Watford than at Moscow. CSKA are a beast at home.

International week means boredom, and managing is a 24 hour job. (http://goonerboy.blogspot.com/2006/10/international-week-means-boredom-and.html)

The last time Macedonia were successful in international competitions was probably around 330 BBC when Alexander beat Darius's Persians in an away game.
