I've seen all those teams play and I feel that apart from Sevilla, we're the better team.

Tough draw fellas:

Group B
Bayer Leverkusen
Club Brugge
Besiktas
Dinamo Bucharest
Tottenham

Obviously you play two games at home and two away, I would deffo want Besiktas at home.

I bet Berbatov didn't think he would be meeting his old Leverkusen team mates so soon!

me too - the draw was bad enough, but having to play besiktas and leverkusen away is nasty.

I would be very disappointed if we failed to at least finish 3rd though.

You win your home games, and take a point out of one of the away games and you should be through. In a way it's a good thing you got the "weaker" teams at home, because you know there's 6 points there for the taking straight away.

Group D and H are the toughest, IMO. Ours isn't a cakewalk either, though. Got some tough away trips, but we should be able to finish at least 3rd, I'm not worried about that.

The only game I am concerned about is the turkish team because we are away. If we don't top this or come at least second there is something wrong.

The main thing is we qualify from this.

Well, not to sound too much like certain MLS fans on these boards, we did excellently against European sides in the pre season. But really only Leverkusen should be seen as the real problem.

It's just so nice to actually see Spurs in Europe at this time of year. I'm bored with watching the usual bunch in the Champions League and supporting whoever the scum happen to be playing.

Luckily we never got into group C then we would have been in trouble. I wanted Feyenoord

3 teams qualify from the group, we should be alright, Leverkusen are not as scary as they have been in the past, Besiktas will be tough as going to Turkey is always hard.

Jonathan Blondel is coming back with Club Brugge.

Its games like the one against Besiktas that makes me wish we still had Johnnie Jackson. The Turks will be lighting flares, jumping up and down and singing for the full 90. And you know what would shut them up? Johnnie Jackson, before the game, going up to the Ultra section, putting his index finger over both of his lips, and we would have silence for the whole match.

If theres one thing the footballing world respects and wants no problems with, it's Johnnie Jackson.

I'd much rather have it this way than if you inverted home and aways. Leverkusen away is a blessing, because if they were one of our two home fixtures, they would be more than capable of taking a point or full points at the Lane.

Besiktas away is too bad as that makes that fixture very difficult...I would have preferred Brugge away and Besiktas at the Lane. Still, we have what look to be two very winable home fixtures, and winning both of those will put us in a position to advance. Now we have to make sure we take the full 6 points when it comes to that.

The only one i'd swap is Brugge for Besiktas. Away in Belgium (mainly so I could go...) and Home to Besiktas.

I'm not too worried. I honestly had a hunch we would get Bayer though.

I think we stand a good chance for wins in our home matches... and mustering a draw in one of the away games. We scored in Prague... hopefully we can do the same in Turkey. The good thing is we get that one out of the way first rather than on the tail end. If we get a result there it should boost us for the remaining three.

Newcastle got a tough group but lucked out with Celta and Fenerbahce at home... Palermo away eeesh, don't envy that.

Looking at the Bundesliga results the German teams are a unpredictable mixed bag right now... Leverkusen beat Schalke 3-1, but Frankfurt beat Leverkusen 3-1.
