You can't believe Everton fans reported him? Everton fans are the whiniest bunch of snivelling hypocrites on the planet.

Pretty much every fan group in the premiership is going to report another teams player for whatever they do these days.

If the FA discipline him for just doing that then they are even more sad than what I originally thought! Its a bit of humour and people should recognise that. Barton did give his shirt to a disabled kid shortly beforehand so it shows that he did do something generous and then did somethin a bit cheeky.

So much for the famous scouse sense of humour.

Meh. So he showed us his ass. He does it all day long on the field, so I don't see why it should be any different this time...

As a parent, you think differently of things when something like that happens and your 8 yr old is with you. Players have to remember who's in the crowd.

Agreed. Just take a look at Barton's past and you will see there is nothing surprising here.

Hmm ... then that logic also applies to all those sensitive, child-centric souls who complained about Barton after spending the previous 90 minutes shouting all sorts of sick shit about "axes in his head" at him. It would also apply to Everton's delightful travelling support and their preference for ditties like "You're just a town full of Pakis".
But it doesn't, apparently.

an 8 year old will see more bare arse at the local swimming pool, cant recall anyone ever being scarred for life for having to get changed in a public changing room.

Sort of an agreement. I have a twelve year old son. He would just think Joey Barton was an idiot and laugh at it. It wouldn't in any way make him think that exposing himself was the new cool thing to do. Even Cantona's karate kick woouldn't really have much of an impact on him. You can always explain "the guy's an idiot." It's much harder to explain and much more embarassing when a group of fans unite in personal attacks or bigotted chants.

So one of two people out of 40,000 complain about a man bearing his arse at a crowd and the bitter koppites are out in force.....
I mean Liverpool fans would never do anything like complain to the police about:
(1) Rooney spitting "in their direction" in a Merseyside derby from roughly 25 yards away
(2) Gary Neville celebrating near Liverpool fans and "inciting them"
Or whine to UEFA along with their G14 friends to get the Premier League's decision overturned so they don't miss out on the CL even if they don't actually qualify.
You can try and tarnish Everton with allegations of racism (and I don't deny there are some who are racist but no more than any other club) but I don't think Liverpool are in any position to preach about good fan behaviour.....

The funny thing is, The FA will probably turn a blind eye to Zokora's dive yet throw a hissy fit at Barton
