The funny thing is, The FA will probably turn a blind eye to Zokora's dive yet throw a hissy fit at Barton

I agree except for the fact that it's funny. As long as they turn a blind eye to deception of the referee which alters the outcome of matches it will only continue to increase. He should receive a 2 match ban. Forget what FIFA says and show them how this type of trash should be dealt with.

Who said it doesn't?
Everton fans, for a start.

So one of two people out of 40,000 complain about a man bearing his arse at a crowd and the bitter koppites are out in force.....
You see, "bitter" and "Koppite" just doesn't go together. Not when the subject is Everton. I mean, seriously ... how would that work?

I mean Liverpool fans would never do anything like complain to the police about:

(1) Rooney spitting "in their direction" in a Merseyside derby from roughly 25 yards away

(2) Gary Neville celebrating near Liverpool fans and "inciting them"

No, you're right ... they wouldn't.

The latest and most famous Mong Senior Incident (TM) is off the scale by comparison to the bollocks the average Bitter gets exercised about. There's an ocean of difference between a player dropping his kecks after the final whistle in reply to the mongoloid behaviour of 4000 fellow, but lesser, Liverpudlians and what Neville did seconds after his side scored the winning goal against us. And, of course, just for the record, the original complaints around that incident came from United fans who fretted that people were trying to kill Gimp the Elder - the "incitement" line was a response.

Or whine to UEFA along with their G14 friends to get the Premier League's decision overturned so they don't miss out on the CL even if they don't actually qualify.
Hmmm ... what was that about "bitter" again? Even ignoring the logical fallacy that it was the fans who persuaded UEFA to allow the European Champions to defend their trophy , what you've basically got here is a Bitter making the profound tactical error of reminding everyone of the time Everton somehow managed to get into the Champions' League qualifiers and embarrassed every sane English football fan with their utter, abject stinkiness.

Actually I think he was simply pointing out your insane one-eyed bias. Even though I prefer Liverpool to Everton I would have to completely agree with him on this one.

Well, pretty much all football fans are biased. I'd be surprised if I ever met one who wasn't.

The point was, and I agree with it, is that it's a little rich for Everton fans to act with such self-righteous indignation at Joey Barton's playful mooning, when they had been chanting such vile abuse at him throughout the game, regarding a despicable racist murder committed by his half-brother, which Joey himself had nothing to do with.

I'm not particularly sympathetic towards Joey as a person, given his past demeanours, but it's extremely disrespectful to the family and memory of Anthony Walker for Everton fans to use his murder as a way of having "banter" with Joey.

As for the Neviller, while I wouldn't uphold his actions as an example to the wider society, I've noticed several opposition players celebrating equally provocatively against us at OT. I'd never dream of complaining about them, and that's not just because most of the players were insignificant in stature. The rules must be applied equally.
