State Championship Night ‘99 was a big evening for high school soccer in Georgia. Nearly 12,000 fans turned out at six different sites to see six teams win state titles.

By the way anybody want to post any more impressive crowds that a southern team has drawn recently? i know Clemson has been averaging like 7,000 fans for their games according to soccernet.com (can't find the article but it was about 2-3 weeks ago)

Um, the way I read it, that means there's an average of about 2k per site. Good, but hardly earthshattering.

The PA AAA final gets 6000 in its self, thats without counting AA, and A. And like someone mentioned earlier, thats only 2K per site, not incredibly impressive. very respectable though

Did you read it wrong or are you impressed with 2000 per game number?
